Is it worth going to this resturant? Yes absolutely, here is some more detail before you decide to come here
Service: Overall great. From the moment I step into the resturant there is someone to greet me and seat me at a table. Even at their busiest of times, which is usually on the weekends lunch and dinner (especially Saturday) they still give you a warm towel smelling of lemon to disinfect your hands. Every server has their own style of communication but still manages to cater to everyone’s preferences. The servers are very memorable and welcoming. I even became familiar enough with some of them that now they recognize me when I come in. I also notice before each rush of customers they do a little chant where they say: 1,2,3 and then the name of a server who may be new or is doing particularly well. Also, if you are newer to the resturant they explain what is in the dish as they serve it to you, this makes me feel especially fancy and special :D. I have been going here for a few years and have seen the resturant change and evolve beautifully. In the beginning I remember the menu didn’t have a lot of pictures and the descriptions were somewhat vague, so I often found myself googling some of the ingredients and meals, but over time the menu has become easy to read and understand with at least one picture and description of every meal offered and they have expanded their desserts and drink menu as well. I love their newest concepts with the menu and dishes, where each dish has a little drawing/picture of it and in the beginning of the menu with dishes they have some information about the resturant which really alleviates the resturant. They have kept some of the bestsellers and have added new fresh ideas which I am sure will be well received. Also the lavatory is quite clean and fancy. Food: Always great. I remember the first time I came here with a friend who recommended it to me. The resturant seemed kind of hidden and I was somewhat skeptical, I didn’t expect much. Then as they served me my first hotate katifi it was as if the light was placed strategically just to illuminate the meal and make it seem golden. When I tried it I had to close my eyes, because of how good and intriguing the flavor was. This was one of the best dishes I had tried in a while. Then I went onto the sushi, and it was even better. As I sat there with my friend each piece that we took we would savor and comment on. It became a routine where each week we would come and try different dishes. Most recently after the new concept was introduced, I ordered the hotate katafi, hell’s kitchen and the New York subway (which is what I usually order). They still retained their great flavor and were just filling. The drinks have gotten better, and I suspect they use higher quality ingredients now to make them. What I would recommend, especially from the menu, would be anything raw such as tataki, sashimi or sushi. Even their cold salads (which I am very much against most of the time) are quite good and in big portions enough to feed you for one meal. The only thing I dislike is the meat on sticks here has too soft of a texture and was too much even for me. I tried different types throughout the years, but I was never impressed. However, even when my favorite dish isnt on the menu anymore I keep coming back, because of the quality consistency. No matter If I come in the rush hour or early in the morning just as they are opening, they always have everything up to par. I have never had a bad experience with the food here and the servers have always been welcoming. Overall, this resturant is my favorite in Cambridge. I can dress casually or smart and still blend with the “vibe” of the resturant. The food is always reliable in both flavor and quality, and it always makes me happy and fulfilled. Each time I exit, I think of how relaxed I am when I can come back. If you have the budget to come here even if you come alone, you...

I was shouted at by the waitress and escalation didn't land anywhere.
Edit: /// Seeing from the reply from the restaurant it's clear they are " sorry" you felt that way but no actually it's the customer's fault.
It's laughable it "seems ok on CCTV", very " uncharacteristic of a long time team member". It's just a polite way of calling me a liar.
"Yes we do take customers seriously" but no we don't trust our customers.
Not really surprised to get this reply though given the work culture of this place. ////
Original comment below:
We have been frequent customers. My husband celebrated his birthday here last year with a big party. We have noticed the service level has been inconsistent in the past year but never expected it to be this bad.
We ordered 2 chicken wing screwers. One was terribly burnt. So after thinking back and forth we asked the waitress to just cancel it.
This has led to a massive change in her mood. She has been very cold with us from then on.
Do they expect customers to just eat burnt food?
When I was trying to scan the QR code for frequent fisher, the app system says " this bill has already been registered" the first time I scanned it. It's a £140 bill so I would like to get this sorted. I asked the waitress and she properly exploded at this point " because you should only scan it once!" Hey! I'm not stupid. I'm scanning again and again because the first time it DIDN'T seem to WORK.
I asked for a manager but suspected I didn't actually get the real manager. This lady kept on saying " I'm so sorry" " we take our customer support very seriously" but didn't really offer any empathy or solutions. She kept on asking me " what can I do for you" rather than being proactive in any way.
I was so upset I forgot to ask for our service fee back.
Very shocked this is how a restaurant this level is treating their customers.
I got it the waitress probably had a hard time herself when she sent back the food.
But it's absolutely no excuse to let out that...
Read moreThis is not the best Sushi restaurant🐟
I am a big fan of Sushi, so when I came to Cambridge I looked in Google map 🌏 where are the best sushi 🐟 and found this place.
I leave this review for balance.
The main thing is food🍤, that is, sushi🐟. So that's it.
We ordered a dish from the "Perfect Day" menu for two people. I am deliberately attaching a screenshot from the menu so that you can see the difference between the photo on the menu and the real view of this dish. I believe that the photographs on the menu and the actual presentation of the dish must match, otherwise this is a hoax.
After we ordered, the waiter told us that our order will not look like the picture on the menu, they will serve us our dish in parts, they decide in which order you will eat what you ordered. This is annoying😬, so we did not order a 3 or 4 course course, on the menu it is 1 main course. I would like to decide for myself what I want to eat and when, because I pay for it.
The food was of average quality, it was not bad, but it was also not better than the sushi you can buy at the airport. The rolls were folded carelessly and out of shape.
Prices are expensive here. They will also include 10% additional cost for their service your bill. Atmosphere - This restaurant looks like a bar or student cafe. There is no atmosphere and no interior. The furniture is very simple and cheap. Social distancing is bad here😷, tables are close to each other.
The location of the restaurant is good, the center of Cambridge.
Summary - I think it looks like a student cafe serving average quality sushi. You decide for yourself if you want to...
