Duvel
33cl 8.5% the name of this beer translates as 'devil', and it certainly puts temptation in your path. This is the classic strong golden ale, with plenty of dry, spicy hops and a full bodied malt sweetness. Just fantastic! Blond
Karmeliet Tripel
33cl 8.4% a truly outstanding tripel, this complex golden beer is brewed using wheat, oats and barley; combining the lightness and sweetness of a wheat beer with a smooth oaty creaminess. Floral and citrus aromas predominate, and the taste is refreshing and zesty, with hints of vanilla. Tripel; wheat beer
Straffe Hendrik
33cl 9.0% this is a modern classic of the belgian tripel style. It is crisp and dry, with biscuity malts, bitter oranges, white pepper, ginger and cloves; entwined with an underliying sweetness of apple pie and cinnamon. Tripel; speciality
Delirium Tremens
33cl 9.0% this dangerously deceptive golden beer is beautifully crisp and spritzy. Sharp flavours of tangy ginger, cloves, pepper and lemongrass are subtley balanced with aromas of crusty bread and garden herbs in spring. Tripel
St. Bernadus Pater 6
33cl, 6.7%, mid-range; abbey beer

My first time at The Elm Tree but certainly not the last. My friends and I walked around the center for a bit before going to The Elm Tree; it wasn’t a particularly warm evening and I was feeling rather chill. Was not in the mood for beers and really really wanted something hot to drink. So while my friends were ordering their ales, I asked a bar keeper if they could maybe make me a cup of tea — and what do you think? They kindly prepared one for me even though it was clear it’s not something they usually serve. It was genuinely nice and kind thing to do. In addition to that, I got asked if I would like to have a piece of lemon in my tea after I mentioned I didn’t usually drink my tea with milk. Never got asked something like that in all my time spent in the UK and was both happy and nostalgic since that’s how we drink tea in my home country. It was such a small thing but it meant a lot. I am looking forward to trying the impressive selection of their Belgian ales — and thank you again for your kindness, The Elm Tree!

A pub that is worth visiting when coming to Cambridge, because it offers the classic concept of a drinking establishment that is part of British culture. It is located in an urban residential area but the vibe it offers is a unique situation from a typical British drinking place. There is no food for sale, only drinks –whether containing alcohol such as beer, spirits or wine– or non-alcoholic drinks. This pub has had some positive reviews and when I visited it certainly was. A pleasant conversation with the bartender and the atmosphere typical of a British drinking establishment make for an unforgettable impression. The pub also serves a wide range of Belgian beers, beside British local and general ales. Greetings from Indonesia.

04/03/2024 - 20:00 pm. I have traveled all around Europe and this is the first time this has happened to me. I was having a really good time with a friend of mine when the really rude barman told us off because we used our mobile phone speaker for literally one minute. That was totally inappropriate! Was that really a problem? I have been to this pub many times, but I'm never going back. My suggestion is to hire staff that has good communication skills, respects the customers and don't insult them. We were using our native language, Greek, when the incident happened and I suspect that the behavior of the staff meets the definition of racism.

Even though we were trying to communicate with my friend over some random loud drunk people, the staff member who worked on the 4th of March approached us and said that the phone speaker was loud and he asked us if we could not use it because '' they try to promote the communication ''. First of all, I was showing to my friend a really important voice mail and was not loud AT ALL. We could bearly hear those voice mails while the phone was close to our ears. We don't need someone to suggest ways of communication as we're 30 year old professionals and not in the primary school. It was very rude behaviour from the guy at the bar and propably I would say racist as we were speaking Greek at that time. It's a very nice pub but I would suggest to everyone I know not to visit this pub again. If I had the chance to put 0 stars, I would...

đŸŽ¶đŸș Last week I visited this pub and it turned out to be such a great evening! The place itself has a really cozy, traditional English atmosphere — the kind of spot where you instantly feel comfortable and welcome.

But the absolute highlight of the night was the live music. Rupert was singing, and honestly, I was blown away 😍. His voice is incredible, and the way he connects with the audience makes the whole performance even more special. Every song felt full of energy and emotion — it completely lifted the vibe of the room.

I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much, but I left with a huge smile on my face. If you love live music in a friendly, authentic pub setting, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back for the next...
