Never had anything to say about the food - it's always fresh and value for money. Well done starting the rewards system as well! However, you should update the script for the staff - they should maybe ask whether a customer has the app, so that qr is scanned in time. I'm using the rewards for the last month, and every time it feels awkward at the till - one time I was lectured that I 'must say that I am using it before anything else', as the cashier was irritated that they have to reenter my order details. So now I tell them every time about the student discount, and that I'm using the app - not only it takes time to say and show it all, along with the order, but in 99% cases they don't even pay attention to it, and I have to remind them that I need to scan the qr every time, so every time they again re enter my order details (because first they automatically do it without letting me scan the qr first). The whole 'scan your qr first' is unnecessary and unintuitive, you just scan it at any point in other shops, and the discount or bonus is applied automatically. But Wasabi requires doing it first, which means extra conversation with the staff who don't seem trained enough. The other day I was using my rewards at the Station cafe, and it took 5 cashiers to process it, because none of them knew how to do it. Pls pay more attention to these little things))
Also, why not integrate the student discount in the app, so customers don't have to show both student ID and the qr - it all...
Read moreI am not big fan of sushi myself, but my husband is always happy with their sushi. Always fresh and tasty. I love their bento stuff and noodles are my favourite. Love the fact that you can buy a box now that is well packed and ready to heat at home. Love their mochi, especially new mango cheesecake!
This particular local is nicely situated in city centre. Simple and usual Wasabi Restaurant decor, nice tables downstairs. Always liked their tables to sit upstairs with a bit of a view, which due to covid now is closed. The only thing in the past that wasn’t great was the cleanliness of the toilets. We always choose to go into lion yard into cleaner ones rather than used the ones upstairs.
A massive THANK YOU for -50% for NHS staff!...
Read moreI am from Japan, and I can't believe they call this Japanese. They used wrong noodles for yakisoba, and they cooked it so badly that I felt nauseous. Other items were equally bad and so fake that it is quite an insult to Japanese culture. My family who are all Japanese left 90% of the dinner since all the bento boxes were equally bad, and we couldn't eat them. How can you call this Japanese? I am pretty sure that they have never been to Japan and tasted Japanese foods that they claim to offer in the restaurant. Or they just ate the very worst in Japan? But even the worst in Japan would be much much better than this. Ask any Japanese person around you about this. People who are appreciating this, come...
