German Doner Kebab (GDK) — Restaurant in Canterbury

Went to German kebab doner today, first I asked for menu because i am shortsighted the guy on the till said wait i will show u the menu on the screen of till. Then he got busy with packing food whilst there are two members in kitchen as well. We just stood there like an idiot for 10 minutes and i finally asked can you please help us?! and then someone shouts from kitchen are you paying cash or card?! I was like what the hell i havent even been seen or been given a menu. Then after 12 minutes he said u can order from the stand alone screen there menu is on that which was the first thing he should have said. Next i was thirsty i said do you have TAP water he just said a simple “No” well i get it you dont have free tap water atleast you could say like no but i have bottled water instead or something more professional and appropriate but he was just having major issues understanding the frustrations we had developed by that time. After that I ordered the big box meal only to find out IT DOESNT COME IN THE BOX AS ADVERTISED RATHER it comes in trays. You should send food like how the picture is shown else you are misleading customers. I ordered veggie kebab the guy said it has all the sauces, and i found it to be extremely dried like they forgot to add even a single sauce then i went to them and said you told it has sauces and then he asks kitchen guy she feels its dry and then he ends up throwing three sauces on the counter just to show he is doing a big favor on me in an attitude. THE FRIES came with seasonings just shoved into them I couldn’t even eat, it felt like fries are dipped in seasoning. Tables were all greasy and dirty, absence of manager to make things run better. Stupid place run by idiots who aren’t professional and have no manners, don’t know what are cooking or serving not as per standards shown in photos. IT FEELS LIKE STAFF IS UNHAPPY AND DOESNT WANT TO BE THERE. Spent £30 for a meal and HIGHLY DISSATISFIED WILL...

I went to this German Doner Kebab to eat dinner with my family as a french tourist. It was almost perfect.

The place was clean, the order terminals were fluid and intuitive, the aesthetics were pleasing, there were a lot of different meals which were tasty and the few interactions that I had with the staff were great and made me conclude that they are very welcoming and kind.

Moreover, there was even a qr code which would lead you to an app to order later, and the table number was underneath, so it is easier for the staff to bring you the food considering you only have to type your table number on the screen.

The only negative thing about this restaurant is that the food is a little cold, I would only suggest them to use a grill to reheat the sandwiches.

Overall, it was a great restaurant, with good services, mood, and price, so I would definitely recommend to anyone to come...

Meh, nothing special. Definitely had better kebabs from my local kebab shop and you'll pay more for a lot less here!! Meat was greasy even for a kebab!! Part of my chicken was either raw, or very pink and soft! Honestly I was quite glad there wasn't a lot of meat with my meal, not sure I would have finished it! Chips were genuinely raw and greasy! Felt like the staff weren't very motivated and very robotic. Clearly not paid well and it shows in their service. Not their fault really, not sure I would be enthusiastic working here either. Granted the place was clean and service wasn't too slow, it also has a 'nice' feel when you step in with the graphics on the wall and modern look. Guess this is how they reel people in.
