Visited 31/07/25. Rude staff, dirty toilets and no clean tables. Could deal with the later two, but exceptionally rude staff lately. First we cleared the table ourselves, not a problem pulled in couple or chairs from the near by tale to accommodate 4 of us, 3 adults and a child. Next thing staff member orders us to return the chairs to the empty table reason no one will be able to use the table... what logic is this person using, who knows, we are a paying customer too. While my partner ordered 3 frappes £15 and our son, who is 3, was just eating his pizza slice (it was just one margarita slice bought from Gregg's) the same staff came with intent of conflict demanding my son stops eating as we are not allowed to eat food from another establishment. We tried to reason with her in a civil manner explaining it's his lunch time, we are vegetarian and our son is not keen on the food Nero has available so it's difficult in the first place to get him to eat something outside. Of course she had other intention, rude, loud and intimidating us demands we stop him from eating. We tried to show her that even other people were doing so, in fact adults next to us brought food from a supermarket in a bag and started eating feeding each other as well...and our case it's a just a child enjoying his lunch treat while we 3 adults enjoy our frappes. She then started schooling us on how restaurants operate.. Nero is a cafe not a restaurant. Now we are not saying that we would order Papa Jones pizza and take it to pizza express and sit in to eat... But come one let the child finish what he is eating while us parents enjoy our drinks bought from your establishment... clearly staff have an issue. If Nero has the rule of not allowing food from other places into their establishment then this should be applied to every customer and they should not just attack the weak ones by targeting a family with a child who will not fight back. They need better training or they should not be working in hospitality. We are definitely...
Read moreOCT 2022 Update I still come and think it's a superb coffee house. I do like how some staff really do go out their way to make a great coffee and in this day and age is great to see. As was shown today with my late night coffee from an excellent barista. It rates as one of the best Caffè Neros I've been to in the UK.
Some interesting reviews to date. But personally i do like this store, great cofffee and staff (par a few exceptions in the past). I think they are getting better and certain staff members are definitely better than others but on the whole i do really like this Nero. I think the Soya porridge is really good here too and they actually spend some time to make it properly unlike elsewhere on the high street. Wait times are the same in both coffee houses but after being a loyal customer to the other one i'm beginning to prefer Nero coffee...
Read moreThe Loughborough Caffe Nero is my closest and even though I travel about a fair bit, it's also my favourite.
It's one of the largest I've been in and with long opening hours (7am to 19:30pm) makes it the perfect place to relax at any time of the day.
Great window seats to watch the world go by, spacious and a great variety of seats to pick your favourite spot.
It's certainly a great example of what coffee shop culture is all about, stepping in off the street for a coffee or whatever your favourite beverage may be... to relax and unwind in the coffee shop bubble atmosphere... recharging your batteries before heading out into the world and going again until your next visit 😊
Great coffee, great staff and a great atmosphere to...
