Worst experience ever. When we turned up for our bottomless brunch booking, we were met by the rudest manager I have ever spoke to, he told us our booking didn’t exist on the system even though I booked through their own website and had a confirmation email. He could not care less and kept saying how there’s nothing he can do. I said well fair enough when can we do it, to then be told they have no cocktail ingredients. For their 5 cocktail options which are essentially all vodka and fruit juice, which they clearly had behind the bar. He told us we can wait 20 minutes and he would go pick up the ingredients. So we said that’s fine and waited in the beer garden, of course we bought a pint to wait, no offer of a free drink or even discounted one for the trouble. 45 minutes later manager comes out and says we can start the brunch now and he had not left the pub at all in that time so of course he was lying about the cocktail ingredients. Go in and sit down waiting for our brunch to start, 10 minutes of nothing I go up to the bar and ask if we can start ordering drinks, again met with worst attitude saying we had to go up to the bar to order a drink every time and stand and wait for them to be made and take it to the table our selves. Personally that is not the point of a bottomless brunch and I have never experienced that before. Anyway an hour after the booking originally was, brunch started, food was terrible, and I was actually just in shock at how awful the whole thing was going. So at the bar collecting another drink I asked the manager “is this seriously how this normally goes?” Of course he could not care less and told me every brunch is the same and we’re ’not the only people in the pub’ and that he can’t just focus on us the whole time. I literally laughed out loud and just accepted that he didn’t give a shit and nothing was going to change. So brunch ended and I went up to pay, of course I asked for some kind of discount for the trouble, not only were we an hour late starting our brunch but the service and food were terrible. And to no surprise he said there’s nothing he can do and there’s not a reason we would get a discount. Luckily he hasn’t got a clue what he’s doing and charged us the wrong price anyway which was £10 less than it should’ve been. Genuinely would never step foot in there again, I know it was a bit rough but this new management have honestly sent the pub...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Phantom pub, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I walked in, I was immediately impressed by the overall atmosphere and the level of cleanliness.
The cleanliness of the pub was exceptional. The tables, floors, and restrooms were spotless, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a clean and hygienic space, which is especially important in today's times.
However, what truly set The Phantom apart was the exceptional service provided by their staff, particularly Tommy. Tommy went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was memorable. He was not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations for drinks and food.
Tommy's friendly demeanor and willingness to accommodate special requests made our evening truly enjoyable. He made us feel like valued guests, and his professionalism was evident throughout our visit.
The menu at The Phantom offered a wide range of delicious options, and the food was served promptly and tasted fantastic. The drink selection was equally impressive, with a variety of craft beers and cocktails to choose from.
In conclusion, my experience at The Phantom pub was outstanding. The combination of excellent service, exceptional cleanliness, and the standout performance of staff member Tommy made this visit one to remember. I highly recommend The Phantom to anyone looking for a top-notch pub experience. I can't...
Read moreCame here for lunch on a Saturday, place wasn't overly busy - just your typical weekend punters. The single bar staff was friendly but clearly needed help at times, as service was a little slow. Unfortunately the food we ordered was diabolical and means we will never return for any food. We ordered 2 burgers and an all day breakfast, with coffee and a cola. The food took an hour to arrive, which for a local pub is just disgraceful - the only waitress was polite and apologetic, offering us free drinks as compensation. When it did arrive, the disappointment just continued. Presentation, portion size and overall appeal was laughable. Personally my burger was tiny, missing jalapeños, coriander, coleslaw and cheese... which for the time it took to make was extremely frustrating. Asked where the other bits were and the chef sent out a single slice of burger cheese in a bowl saying they forgot to mention they'd run out of coleslaw - pretty insulting. It arrived with a side of chips, which must have been about 15 skinny fries, gone in a few bites! The breakfast wasn't too bad, however the plate/bowl had a pool of grease at the bottom. Were it not for a refund of one main meal, which was dealt with swiftly and without hassle by the single bar staff, it would have got 1 star. Avoid the food,...
