Champs Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Charnwood

We waited at the bar for 2 minutes and was ignored by the 50 year old blonde barmaid, she had seen us. We went back to the bar and I paid for food and drinks. She then says she has shortchanged me as she has no change and it does not matter. I said it does matter as I have been shortchanged.

She was very passive aggressive and could not understand why I wanted my change. In the end I was able to find spare change in my bag so she could exchange for the correct change, she was disgusted and would not even look at me when finally giving me MY change. She put her hand on her head as though I had caused her a headache.

Very passive aggressive in her mannerisms and tone of voice. I should have left the venue after we were initially ignored as this already shows that customers are not important.

Avoid this place. Not worth the hassle for some old 50 year old with anger management issues and no customer...

I've been coming here for last past couple of months..sometimes on my own. As a middle aged woman it was out of character for me to do that..but the 1st couple of times after 11pm on a Fri or Sat night, I had been very upset in my local pubs and needing a different place to enjoy and feel at ease. The staff were honestly amazing! Everyone including bouncers, very polite! And when I lost my phone, the girls in toilet and staff were so encouraging! Lovely atmosphere! Met lovely people so I went back a few times on my own and had wonderful times meeting people laughing dancing, staff recognising me from last times and so I took my mother in one Thursday dinner time for a meal. The food was piping hot and so fast served..service was with lovely politeness and we loved our food! Mum said to book here next week for a birthday meal..I think I shall. See...

Burgers have been good on a previous visit its a shame the service is so appalling. Not at all child friendly. Served the wrong drink and they refused to accept this. It is okay as I drink sugar free drinks out of preference but I could have been diabetic. On this visit we ordered two breakfasts and both were served wrong. We were charged £2 for two slices of toast for our son. We were given two small butter patties to use on 4 slices of toast and then I had to argue with the landlady to get more. When she relented she gave us one additional pattie so we has three small pieces of butter for 4 slices of toast. We asked to switch fried eggs for scrambled and we're told no but we could order them as a side so we did but then we weren't given the fried egg despite paying extra. All round...
