I called in on a saturday lunch time. The food: fish chips and peas was great. Hot, tasty, the service was excellent. The following thurs evening we called in at tea time, my husband me and our son. We went for the fish chips and peas again, the fish was hot peas cold chips luke warm. But we ate it. The service staff asked if everything was ok. I said, not really, the food was only warm , not very enjoyable. He offered to get me something else, I declined, but thanked him for his offer. The following thursday evening we tried again, Two of us had fish, chips and peas, the other had jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise. The waitress brought the fish, chips and peas and went back for the jacket potato. I tried mine, again it was almost cold. The peas we're cold the chips warm and the fish, hot.The jacket potato was very dry and most un enjoyable. I told the waitress about the fish, chips, and peas, she said, should I take it away, this time I said yes please. When it came back, it was very hot. Been in the microwave, the fish was hard and stuck to the batter. Wasn't nice at all. The staff we're very good, but, we won't be going back. Sorry. Time was...

Choice of cask ale, unlike so many large pubs going over to cider (Happy days if you like cider). Food came in good time, chicken jalfrezi curry, rice, soft naan crispy poppadums plus chicken with a dip and chips.. chips could have been warmer but that was the only snag. The same eating experience could be had by visiting the ready meal section of a supermarket, heating it up at home with your own choice of music/TV. You still have to wash up. It's less fun, and cask ale tastes far better than cans or bottles. Drinks ordered on the app came super quick! Overall, it was a happy night for us. Amber Rooms is a big place, and we were lucky to get a seat. Very popular with students. Curry plus a pint on a Friday £11.37 and many scrumy snack choices for under £6 why wouldn't it be. Next time we're feeling like being sociable, eating out but not spending a...
Read moreThis is a go to place in Loughborough, drinks are well priced but not so much on the food as they are well over priced when it comes to them serving food. Has a smoking area at the back, toilets are upstairs, a spiral staircase at that so it can be a pain when busy to get up and down the stairs. Has bar upstairs and downstairs but the upstairs bar closes early before the bardiwnstairs. Typical sticky floors at night with a carpet from your grandma's house and a smell that is distinctive to millions of spilt food and drinks. All in all staff are friendly, customers are for most part friendly and sociable, music is terrible but hey dj's today don't do a good job, they are almost always as drunk as the clientele. You can go out back to the smoking area to escape the horrible loud, very loud bad music. The place is popular primarily because it's drinks are well priced and it opens late as in 1-2pm...
