Literally the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. never in my life felt service was so bad that i've complained at the end of the meal but that's what ended up happening.

I actually don't know where to start. Me and my friends were in there for almost over three hours, took us over 20 minutes to be offered a drink at the start of our visit and then another 20 (maybe more) before we had our food order taken. Service was painfully slow despite it being super quiet.

The table became completely stacked up with dishes because none were being taken away between various plates/starters being taken away so we were crammed in with glasses, bottles, a cleaning cloth!!!! And many plates.

They got two dishes wrong (although we were told that WE were wrong about that which is false). I ordered sushi which came with the most pathetically small amount of soy sauce, usually you are given a bottle?!? But this tiny saucer had enough for one piece of sushi, not even exaggerating.

My partner was the last to get his food, he's now spent over two hours sitting while everyone else eats with a big pile of dirty dishes in front of him because he was the only person who didn't need the room for actual food.

The quality was BAD. Like I'm talking really bad, I'm sorry to say but it's the blunt truth and I'm astounded at the good reviews here. Sushi tasted like it could of been from tesco, and it had more wasabi inside than I've ever had it was almost unbearable (I eat sushi ALOT and I've visited some beautiful restaurants, I do like wasabi so it's not that) my friends main dishes looked pretty bad, one dish the sauce was so watery, I tried some of my partners dish and it was akin to a cheap microwave meal.

It might sound harsh. I hate writing this review but it was that bad and there are no exaggerations here. What made it worse is how we were treated when we complained at the end, the lady serving us did not offer a single apology for the complete lack of service and blamed us mainly for ordering sake?!?! I'm sorry but I know that warm sake takes a while to prepare but it absolutely does not excuse for an over all horrific experience with bad food and bad service.

Looking at other reviews it looks like this restaurant love to blame their visitors for bad service etc, you can see it from other reviews, this is how we were treated in house, if something is wrong, it's only excuses and blaming the customer. Poor show. Booo

Don't go here go to sonny's where the service is great, the food is good and they actually use high quality ingredients

I also want to add that telling customers that they are wrong about the time waiting or poor service and saying "they are not smart enough" it's absolute...

I rarely leave negative reviews for restaurants, but my experience here was deeply troubling. The staff were extremely condescending while explaining the menu. When I politely mentioned that the sauce was unpleasant after just one taste and returned it, the response was shockingly rude. The staff screamed at us saying we finished it (we didn’t).

When the bill arrived, I asked if they could discount the sauce since we hadn't eaten it. Instead of addressing my request, the staff began shouting at me, insisting I had finished the beef sauce—when I hadn’t. To my disbelief, she then involved other customers, showing them the sauce and asking if it was finish, which I found utterly disrespectful and unprofessional.

The staff went on to say, “You people have been here before and you did this,” “YOU people are always like this’’, i felt extremely targeted because i have NEVER been to this restaurant before and the fact she emphasises on YOU people felt racially targeted.

When we asked to speak with the manager, he was equally rude, shouting at us without regard for the situation. Ultimately, they agreed to remove the beef sauce from our bill, but then declared that we were not welcome to return, as if we would ever want to after such a traumatic experience.

To add insult to injury, they took out their phone to photograph us, which I found incredibly disrespectful, especially considering they were the ones causing the scene.

This was, without a doubt, the worst display of customer service I have ever encountered. They screamed, displayed racial insensitivity, and exhibited extreme...

Came here tonight upon finding our usual Noodle Bar type town restaurant closed for an extended holiday. With a food hygiene rating of 5 we felt it was worth the risk to try somewhere new. Bearing in mind its a Sunday and 30° we accepted these as reasons why there were only 3 tables occupied. Tucked slightly away it always seems to attract a slow steady passing trade but having sampled the food here, it should be far more popular than it seems. The menu is medium sized and therefore contains enough for all tastes with some slightly different dishes to the norm to give it its USP... after all it is a fusion restaurant. The service is professional which became more friendly as we showed our appreciation of the food and service we were given. The only slight criticism which is an important thing for me, was that the two main meals were served about 3 minutes apart. As a slow eater, its agony watching my partner tuck into her food and having to watch 🤣 That said... my dish was certainly worth the wait Xianjiang chicken... so SO tasty... loved it 😋 The only thing now is... when our usual Chinese is open after their vacation... which do we go to 😆 or perhaps there's a case for going to both more often and do less home cooking...

Hands-down the best sushi in Loughborough. As a sushi enthusiast, I was truly impressed to eat something of this calibre so close to my front door. The fish and squid was fresh, flavourful and expertly cut. The rice was wonderfully prepared and all of the dishes were beautifully presented. The prices and portion sizes are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the ingredients and preparation. The service is excellent and friendly, our waiter was charismatic and a highlight of my night. The sake was served warm and refilled by the waiter. The restaurant itself has a calm, elegant atmosphere - perfect for celebratory evenings, dates and family lunchtimes. Please give it a chance! To me, this is the highest quality Asian-fusion place in town and I can't wait to go again to try other things on the menu.

Food was tasty, beautifully presented and restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. However the service was disappointingly poor, and staff spoke little English. The place was not really busy, but our order took over an hour to arrive, and when it did it looked beautiful, so we took photos, which is a good job, because 5 minutes later before we nearly tucked in, the waitress came to our table and took the dish away mumbling something like "you have the wrong order". We laughed about it, but I would not be laughing if I was the customer this dish was actually for after others breathed/coughed all over their dish. When we finished we asked for a doggy bag, but again it was difficult to explain this as the staff were wondering why we took so long to leave, they forgot to give us our doggy bag.
