Recess Coffee Shop London — Restaurant in Chelmsford

Up until Wednesday 19th January my wife and I would along with others on this site have given Recess Five stars. Unfortunately on this day, we both had a breakfast bap which was far below the standards we have come to expect. The bap was small and very crumbly, the fried egg was undercooked and the amount of ingredients was definitely not worth the £5 odd we paid for each one. Saying that everyone has an off day and I think this was theirs. The staff are always very nice so we will give it another try. ...

Been going for years, not sure but might be new owners. Nice size cafe with inside and outside seating, next to the Chemler river in middle of town. Professional welcome, not 100% friendly. Said good bye and waved as we left but no one looked up. Even though our table had been cleared had to ask to be wiped, which happened straight away. Had granary brown bread tuna sandwich, which was OK, it was the choice of bread not my preferred but no salad or chrisp. Well...
