First visit to this establishment and definitely my last! The landlord refused to serve me as he thought I was part of a group of customers who had supposedly caused issues for him somehow. I did not at any single time whilst in his establishment, in the 10/15 minutes I was there, come into ANY verbal, physical or even so much as any visual contact with the people he was referring to. We visited today with our year old granddaughter, Hungarian vizsla dog and son in law and we had the best time. Woody was fussed over and given a dog bowl which when tipped over(very large paws) was not a problem. The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing. We spent three hours amongst the friendliest staff and customers and we will be back. We are very lucky to have this terrific pub on our doorstep. The only place for a magnificent roast. We recently booked the lovely rear bar area for a funeral reception with a buffet. Jess and the team really looked after us. The room was just perfect and everyone commented on the high quality and presentation of the buffet items, which were delicious. Jess was really helpful when I made the booking soon after our gran had passed and I was reassured to know we were in good hands. It was a lovely afternoon for family and friends to celebrate gran's life and we received excellent caring service from Dee in particular. Highly recommend...
