Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Chesterfield

Not a great visit today, the place was really untidy, all tables dirty, we had to clean our own to be able to sit down upon entering. Outside was also untidy too. Upon ordering things didn't go well, one person started the drinks and another finished them meaning both drinks had to be redone, the latte due to the barista being unhappy with the amount of milk in it, so she gave my partner my Frappe saying she'd bring his over. My frappe was also done wrong unfortunately no gingerbread syrup was added, guess that's what happens when 2 staff try to do 1 job!! The Barista realised this whilst we were tasting it and when my replacement was brought across the original I had been given (that we'd both had a drink of to try) was taken away and replaced by another in a glass way too small and overflowing. In the past if there has ever been a mistake with a drink they've always offered to let us keep the one that was made wrong due to the fact it will only be thrown away, seems a waste really. Putting the frappe into a glass like they had wasn't a clever idea and lead to lots of mopping up and me needing to rush to drink it to stop anymore spillage. To be honest 2 staff on, on a saturday not great and I won't be in a rush to return after...

Good coffee. Prices increasing . Chairs would benefit from better cleaning. Staff cleaning tables between use on last visit but this frequency varies depending of number of staff. Sanitiser usually empty on entry. Screens removed from counters now. Have breakfast and toast offer if buy a drink before 11am. Get stamps on app for drinks purchased .Good strength coffee. Tables could do with more cleaning between customers as well as chairs. Return visit September 24. Need 10 beans to get free drink. Floors and tables could have been cleaner. Disgusted with visit 24/9/2020. Will never visit again. 2 members of staff working, one was a manager, allowing 2 people to sit at a table for 6. The left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. Had to wait for a table to become vacant in the mean time those who wanted to take their drinks out were served 1st and when a table became vacant they were offered the option of drinking in or still taking out. I was waiting to be served to sit in before those were served for take out. The manager totally ignored the situation and the member of staff didn't admit their fault when...
