Pizza Hut Restaurants Chesterfield — Restaurant in Chesterfield

I’ll start off with the good.. Food was really really good, couldn’t complain.

The bad.. The staff were just off, we arrived and they sat us straight next to some other people eating when there was seating free everywhere. We waited after ordering and nobody brought us our glasses for the bottomless drinks so i had to go and ask after awhile which i had to interrupt a group conversation between all the staff also had to wait for there conversation to finish before they realised i was there. After this we had finished our mains and sides which were delicious and was waiting for dessert and the staff were cleaning all the empty tables around us and just walking past us when we had clearly finished and stacked all our plates up for them so they could easily take them away.. waiting about 15 minutes and nobody came so i had to ask for them for our desserts and then they brought the desserts out for us which was again delicious but the staff just dropped them on the table and walked off, didn’t take away the finished plates for us to create any room for us to eat our dessert. We then had to awkwardly eat our dessert of the table full of empty dirty plates. Once again staff cleaning all the tables around us which hadn’t been used but clearly avoiding or ignoring us. We finished up and walked out, noticing that every other customer that had left was met with a ‘Goodbye’ but me and my partner who did absolutely nothing wrong and wasn’t rude in any sort of way was met with silence. I don’t know what was going on but it was absolutely woeful from the staff. The food was amazing but everything else was awful. My partner and I’s first date night since becoming parents was made a very bad and awkward experience....

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING SERVICE!

When entering with our party was left 5 minutes while the 2 ladies front of house finished playing with their phones. The place was nearly empty but they discussed where to seat us, we had my kids and elderly mother. We were seated as far from the counter as possible. And then left.... Others came in were seated and orders taken... So I had to shout our waitress, who explained the QR table service. After our wait as not explained before! I asked can we just order please. Which was greeted with can you not use your phone? and after a no was told I'll be back in a bit with pen and paper.... waitress... no pen and paper 🤔🤔 Placed both drink and order and started more fun... went salad bar - apparently they no longer do nachos... 13 minutes later... still no drinks... had to shout waitress again to bring our empty plastic cups for the self service machine... meal arrived - no one asked how it was 🥺👉🏾👈🏾. Then had to shout again if my kids could get there brownies as wed finished and stood another 5 maybe 10 minutes... time moves slowly when your having a bad time.... and then the bill because we were just sat with no service. On leaving child needed toilet to what was greeted to the one toilet with an unlocable door and half smashed sink. And a hand dryer that didnt work and no paper alternative. With a Pride ourselves with our toilets... oh the irony! Absolutely Appalling!! The service was so bad & toilets I had to give a 1 star review and...

The food was nice, when it eventually arrived. The service however was very slow. The place was not very busy when we arrived, and started getting busier after we had placed our order. The staff were not very forthcoming, especially when it was clear that 2 out of our 8 person party are physically disabled. There were people getting served after ourselves, yet was being given their orders way before we was. The premises had somewhat emptied by the time we had finished our mains. The other 6 members of our party had finished their desserts and were ready to leave before we had even received our desserts. This is not acceptable behaviour for a professional establishment. There was no apologies for any delay nor inconvenience.

I have not been to a pizza hut for over a decade, and this was meant to have been a great family catch up, and this did not help.

I was looking to have had a great experience, and to have been leaving a a favourable review, and as such feel that I have to be honest and advise of my experience..

Unless I was to receive an apology, it would take some great effort to get me to return to this, or any other pizza hut...
