The Soulville Steakhouse — Restaurant in Chesterfield

A family get together was booked for my granddaughters 10th birthday on Saturday night. We was around 5/10mins late and we was seated upstairs, we waited 30 minutes to get an order of drinks in a very dark room upstairs. Unfortunately the poor young waitress tripped and spilled all our drinks on the table behind us. Which was an accident and we all felt sorry for the young waitress. We waited another 30 minutes for our food order to be taken. So in all after one hour and a half there was a big mix up in our 9 steaks received between fillet, ribeye and sirloin, 5 of us enjoyed but unfortunately 4 found their steaks undercooked or very tough. We was not asked about deserts where one 10 yr old with gift bags and balloons was ignored and not acknowledged. We decided to leave after our meal. When paying for the food at the end we was overcharged for items not received/mystery items. This made a very awkward situation worse. The waiting staff seemed untrained but doing the best they could but the lady manager seemed very unorganised she should maybe do a refresher course on people’s skills?? Very rude to my 82yr old mother accusing her of upsetting staff? We have been to the galleon In a large group several times and never received this treatment. Booked in for valentines day at 8pm. When we arrived there were couples arrived at same time who had not booked and we're seen to before us. We arrived at ten to so we were in time for 8. Waitress said we had to wait as there were no tables but there were clearly two empty ones straight in front of us.waited twenty minutes to be seated which then they sat us at the empty ones that was there at start.then we waited another twenty minutes and no one had even took our order for starter . Husband asked if we could order our starters she said I will be with you in a bit. Then a Waitress coming over and said I'm sorry but I will be with you in 2 minutes waited another 5 minutes then decided to leave .valentines meal ruined thanks soulville but your service was rubbish. Arrived at the restaurant and the atmosphere was quiet which we both like, however when ordering the waitress with the glasses said she understood what we ordered and they would be as quick as they can. Waited 40 minutes and when the food arrived it was a completely different order, we both ordered a burger and they gave us a roast dinner. My husband didn’t have a problem with the order mixed up but he didn’t say his food was cold. I called the waitress again and I told her that they got our orders mixed up but she said that’s what we ordered in a rude way. However another waitress arrived and she apologised about the inconvenience and she would tell the chef the food was wrong. While I was waiting for my food I asked the waitress with the glasses where the toilets were and she said “there” in a rude matter.
