Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Chesterfield

Arrived at lunch time on a busy Saturday, gentlemen servicing on the till was extremely pleasant and friendly even though the cafe was so busy, all tables was full. Service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. He apologised for us having to wait even though we didn't mind as gave us longer to decide what to have. Explained they was short staffed and so only the 2 of them serving, making food / drinks and clearing tables so was understandable that we had to wait a few minutes. Would definitely return again especially on a Saturday as was nice to be severed by someone with a polite friendly manner under difficult...

very much improved. New manager has really taken steps to improve visit. Food is now put on a plate not just thrown on as before. Breakfast has been great last few times we visited and coffees are really good. Very good young lad working there. However could do with bit of low level music, swap the drinks signs at front for more food menu signs, sort out top of stairs. Looks terrible as you walk up. fill fridges as you walk in. after breakfast have a light on above food hot plate as looks like no hot food is being served. Just a tray of jacket pots would look good under the light. anyway much...

Food freezing cold, absolutely disgusting. You could tell the staff were embarrassed to work there. No cutlery out either but the food... Had a breakfast, cold over cooked tomatoes, a fried egg that looked like it had been cooked days before, stone cold Rock hard sausages. The only hot item on the plate was the bacon as they had freshly cooked it. No wonder there's always tables available at this cafe and queues downstairs at greggs and subway. Absolutely awful. Please don't ever attempt...
