Shame the food is good, because the customer service and delivery is absolutely atrocious. Ordered at 17:45 on a Saturday night, probably one of the first orders of the night seeing as it opens at 17:30. Food didn’t arrive until 20:05. 2 hours & 20 minutes wait… bearing in mind I live 9 minutes drive from the restaurant. Had to call 3 times in total to get my order, when it arrived it was lukewarm and it was wrong. I ordered a paneer tikka masala and a few other bits which came to a total of £22 and they gave me a chicken tikka masala, which I couldn’t eat because I’m a vegetarian. When I put the order in, it said it would arrive by 19:15, I left it until 19:20 to call to check where my order was. The guy who answered gave a very half heartedly apology, was sighing heavily on the phone in annoyance even though I was understanding and polite with him. He asked the chefs and it seemed they hadn’t even started my order an hour and a half after I made the order. He said 15-20 minutes wait, I said don’t worry. 45 minutes later… nothing… called again… said 3 minutes away. Didn’t arrive til 10 minutes after that call and the driver had a bad attitude as well as if us waiting over 2 hours for the wrong order and tepid food was an inconvenience. I called again to let them know the order was wrong, he said he didn’t have any drivers and I would have to wait 45 more minutes to get the curry out to me. I said forget it, give me a refund and he cheekily only offered a refund for the curry only. I asked him to process the refund now, and he stalled saying to call back later to get the refund. I said no now and he made the excuse that he has to ask the manager. I told him to get the manager and he said he will be 10/15 minutes. I put the phone down and drove to the restaurant and returned all the food back and demanded a full refund. The restaurant was busy and the guy I had been speaking with whispered under his breath so not to alert other customers that there was an issue. He whispered if he can just get me my correct curry instead of a refund and I said no, take the food and give me a full refund, which they obliged hesitantly in cash. I think they only gave me the refund because I was with my brother, but from the way they were being on the phone and other reviews I have read, I’m convinced they would have tried to avoid giving me the refund if I was on my own. Never ordering from here again or eating in either. Very greedy business. Wants the orders and business but doesn’t have the capacity to fulfil them, so instead of turning orders away, they make customers wait unreasonably long periods, do not keep customers updated, deliver food cold, don’t offer refunds off their own back in hopes you’ll just roll over and just provide all round terrible customer service. Such a shame because the food I’ve had once before was nice, but that previous order I had to wait 1 hour and a half + and they didn’t even know an order came through until I rang them about it! Read moreThe last time I ordered from this restaurant was about 15 months ago. It got to about 2 hours after ordering and it hadn't turned up, so I gave them a call to find out where it was. They told me they'd already tried delivering and no one answered, to which I said that no one has been to my door. After at least 10 minutes of argument on the phone, I found out that they'd gone to a different address. They offered to bring my order out to me straight away, within the next 10 minutes. To which I replied theres no way you can cook my order and deliver it within that time limit. I said that I didnt wish for that because I believed that they would just delivery the same food that I gad orderd earlier, and that I would like my money back as I had paid by card. I was told this wasn't possible. So I said I'd come in the next day for a refund. Again after 10 minutes of arguing they agreed. The next I went in and got my money back. I swore I'd never go back after this. But after a long time of looking for a place to go which both myself and my partner like'd, to which we did. On this night 8/12/2015 we decided to try tgem again. The order went through no problem and it was delivered within an hour, but when the delivery driver turned up he said they'd put the wrong address on but he realised that we always order from there so he figured it would be for us. Which I found very weird since I'd not ordered from there in a long time. So I've not eaten the food ( as I don't trust it!!! ) and I will definitely never be going...
Read moreOkay, so really, we were after fish & chips, but at the time of ordering, everywhere was closed. We changed our plans and opted for curry, but both of our usual two curry houses were closed. West Bars Tandoori was open. We ordered 2x curries, 2x naans, rice and a chicken chat, which came to just shy of £30. Unfortunately, we weren't impressed. We've had ALOT of curries from various locations and eateries and we've never been so disappointed. The peshwari naan was bone dry and upon tearing, the entire filling completely crumbled out. The rice had several large clumps of balled up rice in it. The Chat was flavourless and both of our curries (Chicken Methi & Chicken Saag) lacked flavour too. The chicken was very dry and wasn't enjoyable to eat at all. Around half of the food ended up in the bin. After a long day and a hankering for a meal we didn't have to cook ourselves, we were thoroughly disappointed. We'll definitely not be ordering from here again. We would've been better nipping to Tesco for a microwave meal than spending our money here. You live and learn.
