We wanted to take up July EH offer of free drink and 20% discount. Went on 31/7. Beautiful day so ordered drinks in garden. No one else there so plenty seating options. It was delightful. Waitresses were pleasant but none were briefed about offer but eventually sorted. We had a couple drinks and then had fish and chips, 2 'free' drinks on offer and desserts which we had inside. Service in general was slow. Food was pleasant and nicely cooked. We had coffee in garden. We were initially charged for 'free' drinks as well as more drinks than we actually had! We stopped by for a couple of cocktails and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, with a stunning view that made our evening even more special☺️

We sat out in the garden, which was the perfect spot. The birds were singing lively in the background as well! The staff were attentive and welcoming—especially Sofiia, who did her best to ensure we had everything we needed. She recommended the Scottish dessert Cranachan, and it was absolutely amazing—definitely a highlight!

Pleasant modern restaurant on the ground floor of a hotel in the grounds of Pollock Halls of Residence (University of Edinburgh). Wouldn't have chosen it as quite tucked away and never heard of it, but 3 of us went for dinner on a midweek evening after receiving a gift of an Itison voucher for a meal here. Very friendly and attentive staff, food good. Reasonably priced menu featuring 4 or 5 starters, 3 types of burgers, 4 or 5 other mains and some desserts.
