the food was good but nothing out of this world. the portions aren't generous. The fried chicken was ok, nothing special. the service was really poor. the waiter we got didn't explain very well how the bbq worked and randomly came to our table to lower or increase the temp. We got more instructions from another waiter talking to a table next to us. We are pretty sure we got the wrong bbq order too as we asked for boneless ribs and got beef steak slices. We got in at about 7.30 and we were told we had 1h30 to eat even though this information was nowhere on the booking system online. The restaurant wasn't that busy so we just stayed longer as we were chatting. The staff however started making really loud noises cleaning and constantly walking past our table as if trying to make us feel uncomfortable so we'd leave quickly. It was around 9pm and the restaurant was empty but we were having a good time chatting, I don't understand their need to make us leave besides wanting to close earlier. Really rude and lost a potential regular customer. Oh and I'm pretty sure we were overcharged but as I was having such a good time with my friend I didn't check the bill.
EDIT: Your response is completely unacceptable. To say that the fact that my other guests did not show up as a justification for poor service is really low. Unfortunately I was unaware that my three other friends were going to cancel so last minute. Including one person who literally messaged me as I was sitting at the table. Besides, that excuse that you "had to turn customers away" is untrue as the restaurant was not full when we came in. Inclusively we could have easily moved to a smaller table that was empty next to us. If anything your reply to my review made me even more sad for having spent money in your...
Read moreWent on a Tuesday night with a party of 4. Booked at 8PM. We waited for about 45 minutes for someone to take our order, even calling the staff through the ring bell on the table. I had to leave the table and ask someone behind the counter to please come and take our order. Then, one of the starters arrived. After that, we had to wait for another 20 minutes for the set to arrive, the first 2 meats were almost totally cooked but any of the sides that are included or the ones we ordered were brought to the table. Once again I had to leave my seat and ask for everything that was missing (including our drinks), stayed on the counter until everything we ordered was on the table. Then, in the end, we tried and pressed the bell to ask for the bill and surprisingly (or maybe not) that request was rapidly ansewered and the bill wasn't with the discount of the scheme "eat out to help out", as advertised by a flyer in the window and also on the government's website. Once again had to intervened so then the bill would be properly charged. It is a shame to be writing this review as we've been there before and the service was lovely, plus the food is very good. There were too many bookings and too much people in the restaurant for the amount of staff working. Please be more attentive to that, as quality is more important than quantity. Not sure if...
Read moreA long time for us didn’t have a proper Korean BBQ in a real Korean restaurant. Lucky to grab a parking space one street upper.
It’s a good sign to hear the staffs speaking in Korean instead of some other Asian languages. It means that at least the foods are probably managed by Koreans.
Starter: seafood pancake is great, more crispy will be what we like more but it’s fine to be a bit soft.
Assorted meal set includes pork belly, beef rib eye, sliced beef, sliced pork neck and sliced spicy chicken thigh. The quality of the meats are quite good. Got lettuce to eat with lots of meat. King prawns are fine. Good service to change the bbq grill pan in the middle of the meal.
But what we just suddenly remembered while we were driving home is the sliced raw garlic and super spice red sauce and the kimchi cabbage are missing, no wonder we felt a bit strange but don’t know what was that. 😆😆😆 With kids, we were used to go with less spicy foods. Maybe that’s why we forget. 😆😆
We appreciate the hot drinks a lot. Although it’s a bit expensive, the size is good enough to come with a pot. I can still finish it all. Love the Korean barley tea most.
A Very Good Korean...
