Expected way more from this after reading the reviews, bought a voucher for the tasting menu. Way over priced, woman serving was rude and never explained anything about the menu. Never felt welcomed in the empty restaurant. Woman seemed like she just wanted to go home. 20 minute wait in between the one mouthful plates we had. Never once did the server come and speak to us or check we were finished or even wanted a drink. We never opted to buy any wines as never got the menu presented to us. Food was flavourless and just tasted like acid and salt (lime juice) left me with heartburn and to top it off my girlfriend had bones in her pinky sized piece of cod. Never got asked how or why she never touched her food. Then she got a small piece of burnt brownie for her desert. 最後,我要再三強調:我們明白這是一個訂製的海鮮餐,但如果你們餐廳無法以正常和體面的方式呈現,或者根本做不到這個訂餐,我們完全沒有勉強你們。我們只是按你們的回覆來點餐,而最終如何鋪排、能不能做到,是餐廳的決定,不是客人的責任。一間自稱高級的餐廳,絕對不應該用廚房的鍋子讓客人用餐。試想想,如果你們一早告訴我會用這樣的鍋子上桌,我會答應嗎?答案顯然是不會。

Allow me to respond point by point: Regarding this customized seafood menu: we asked your general manager directly whether such a seafood set was available. After checking with the chef, your manager confirmed that it could be provided, and that a 6-person portion could be prepared. This was not something we “forced upon you”—it was something you agreed to provide. Because we had two children who did not want seafood, they ordered two mains instead. The four adults ordered a 4-person seafood set. Everything was made clear in advance; nothing was last-minute. At no point did you inform us how this so-called seafood set would actually be presented, nor did you explain that it would be served in a kitchen pot placed directly on the table. Even if you had disclosed this in advance, I believe no reasonable guest would have accepted it—because no one would ever imagine a fine dining restaurant serving food in such an unattractive and entirely inappropriate kitchen utensil.
Finally, let me emphasize this: we fully understood that this was a customized seafood menu. However, if your restaurant could not present it properly in a refined manner, or was not capable of preparing it, we would not have insisted. We only placed the order based on your confirmation, and ultimately, how it was executed was the restaurant’s decision, not the customer’s responsibility. A fine dining restaurant should never, under any circumstance, serve food in a kitchen pot meant for cooking, not dining. If you had told me from the start that the dish would be served this way, I would never have agreed.

We wanted to try everything from the menu but opted for house made Focaccia to start, 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 sides recommended by friendly Graham who looked after us. It was the best octopus dish I have ever had. Every dish was so beautifully presented. The portions were decent but they served Basement Gelato so we had to get the dessert too. The profiteroles was to die for and the best way to finish the delicious meal. The restaurant is good for a special occasion but also good for a casual bite too.
