Frites-Leith Walk — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Having been to the Lothian rd branch a few times I thought I would be safe trying the Leith walk branch as I was in the area. I ordered the dirty fries in a small £5.95 the..... "Italian Garden An elegant escape to the secret garden! Cheddar and green peas topped with mouthwatering Italian sauce, drizzle of delicious basil pesto and finished with our fruity and nutty parmesan cheese" My order was quickly given to me within two minutes. I normally have to wait roughly 5-8mins at the other branch.

The reason, my chips weren't fresh. They are hard and crispy and barely warm. They seemed like old refried chips. With like dry bits of ends of small chips, not many actual long chips. The cheese added was not melted, since no heat on the chips. Then a thick layer of cold Italian sauce made it even more colder , the sauce was extremely salty. Felt extremely thirsty after a few chips. And could barely see any parmesan. Barely any taste of pesto. After a few bites , it ended up in the bin. Me and my three children who sampled it didn't like it at all . Waste of £5.95 , unpleasant...

What would you like ? Started with the usual question but the answer would be always fries at this place. Enjoyed my tikka dirty fries, heavy and fully loaded. Good amount to share between two. Time was just 5 to 11pm, already few customers were there, I felt that the place close at 11. This location is so welcoming from outside by the way they have fitted. I feel sorry for the guy during December. Great location when the tram and road open. Also a parking place outside the shop was great idea. Recommended to go...

Takeaway fries. Let me say at the outset that these are very large portions. My partner and I took two L portions and barely managed to eat.

Yummy Curry Slow cooked pulled chicken dressed with a savoury Yummy curry sauce, cheddar, green peas and garnished with fragrant coriander. And Peri Peri Chicken Poutine Slow cooked pulled chicken loaded with cheddar and green peas, covered with our signature gravy and topped with Peri Peri sauce.

Very good and hot, despite the sauce still crispy fries.
