Everyones meal came but mine had obv been on a hotplate all day. Was mac n cheese a childs portion. I put the fork into it and it was so congealed the whole lot came out on the fork like a lump of mash potato. On complaining the look and attitude i got from this person(who i later found out was a MANAGER) was rude and disgusting customer service! I was then told it would be 10minutes for a fresh one. Waited 20mins while all the family had finished their meals. Had to call over another member if staff to ask what was going on and to forget it. He came back and said they wouldnt charge me for it and it would be another min or so. It came by the rude manager who asked if i wanted or not since it was free. I took it since we had spent 2.5hrs walking around and was hungry since there were no kiosks open and there were only 2places open this and the penguin bar. It was vile the sauce practically running out the bowl and had a horrible taste. Two ppl in the group had the adult portion and said it didnt taste like theirs! On paying £45 after discounted my meal i wont EVER go there again its over price, very poor food my songs chicken nuggets were overcooked and dry, and the management and SOME of the staff need training on customer services. On arriving there was very little customers in. It took 10mins for anyone to acknowledge us being there and having to ask one member of staff who was clearing tables around us in the 10min wait so knew we were there to get someone to take our order. Very poor quality ...so advice to others you be better either packing your own food to take it would be a damn sight cheaper too. Or wait till your finished and nip along to mc’ds at st john...

Had snacks for our visit to the zoo but all the hills burnt off our energy and we decided this was the better restaurant for us to eat at and rest. The restaurant was very busy but they managed to find us a table. The NGCI selection was limited so I settled on pulled pork loaded fries and a tea. Unfortunately you are required to log on to an unsecure WiFi connection to order and I found it very difficult and got a bit agitated. A wonderful lady picked up on this and offered to help. She asked her supervisor to take the order and this was done quickly and without embarrassment. My sister ordered her food and drinks at the same time. The food and drinks came to us quickly. The portions didn't look big but we soon discovered we could have shared a portion as it was generous. Much gratitude to Hanna for your assistance, smiles and positivity throughout our dining experience. Hannah is a huge credit to the team. 1 star lost for the...

Tried this "restauraunt" while visiting the zoo. Staff were welcoming and polite but that's about all that we found good about this place. It was freezing outside and not much warmer inside. They definitely didn't have any sort of heating on. The food was horrible. We had Margherita Pizza and Chips. The pizza was OK but definitely tasted like it was a frozen pizza you could pick up at any supermarket and the chips had an odd frozen taste to them and were only luke warm. Drinks wise, my partner had s hot chocolate which was the only thing she enjoyed. I ordered a sprite for £2.65. The menu stated 500ml but I recieved a 330ml can. The most expensive can I've...

Disgraceful. Don't waste your time or money. Small menu and they had no pasta i options in stock. We only received half of our drinks order, I had to go chasing them for the rest. Hot Dog buns were all semi-stale, certainly not fresh. Far too much sauce and weird mustard mayo poured over the whole bun, making it incredibly difficult and messy to eat without it going all over your face. Fries portion size were big, but all of our fries were cold upon arrival. It was already overpriced, but now considering the poor quality it's extremely overpriced. We ended up leaving half of our food. £60+ for that rubbish was painful.

Went in here with my partner. Quite a few options on the menu. I ordered the Veggie Pizza ( £11 ) and he ordered the Scottish juicy Beefburger (£11.50) We did find all Zoo restaurants are quite pricey all over the UK but we think this one is our favourite yet and for once we paid for the quality which was good. My partner really enjoyed his burger and my pizza was a decent size. Chips come with the burger and they were nicer than ones we had in a "premium chippy" the day before in Edinburgh. It's clean and the staff were friendly and there are toilets inside as well. Lots of seating. Would visit again 😊👍
