Comically awful. We ordered the house cocktail for 3 of our group after a big sell from the barman - as did 4 others sitting outside from various tables - which turned out to be quite the opposite from the description. A truly undrinkable concoction, the likes of which I have never tasted. This view was shared by all who had ordered this monstrosity, most not able to continue after a single sip. We attempted polite feedback but were met with incredulity at our lack of appreciation of this supposedly “better than a pint” work of evil. He tasted mine with a straw and wondered at his own genius and our inability to appreciate such dubious wonder. Then literally everyone else who had ordered the same drink chipped in with the same negative comments. At this point, the cocktails creator made offensive comments toward the very polite “mob” and scurried off, demanding payment from all for the abhorrent mix. We then had a further cost from another member of staff suggesting that we have to leave:) Again, the other lovely people whom had sampled the “cocktail” proffered their support and actual version of events that had led to this awful customer service debacle. Said staff member realised the situation and removed the offending drinks from the bill and apologised of sorts. We then waited 20 mins for the altered bill which was finally obtained by me walking inside and asking for it. Truly awful but maybe just a bad day but not one I can let go without a...

We got a deal on Itison for two hotdogs and a half pint of Innis and Gunn or a glass for wine for £9. Good deal! Smaller than I thought, we had reserved a table and when I arrived people were already sitting there, which was no problem as i was early. My partner arrived and we sat at another table until ours became free, we would have just sat at the other table for the duration but the door was opening continually and a very cold breeze would catch you and so we waitied on the table further away from the door. Id imagine that this pub isnt all that warm most of the time and I am a total girl and need heat in this weather. We ordered two chilli dogs and they arrived with fries in a wooden box, nice touch, The cocktails here are only £6.95...so yes i ordered a Margarita! was pretty poor to be honest! The hotdog meal was okay and I dont think i would have paid full price for the meal. Beer selection was okay but i have been in pubs with a much better selection. I go the impression that Jeremiah is trying to be the next Hanging Bat, but just...

Jeremiah's Taproom is as far as I know pretty new, so new in fact that I had to add it to Google Maps. In addition to the selection of beverages which were no doubt on offer (apparently they have a good variety of cask ales), what really made this place stand out is the food. They do a wide selection of gourmet burgers which I and some friends found delicious. They had table service which was quick and friendly and make a nice change from having to visit the bar to order. Inside the decor was a cool blend of the old and new, it's kinda difficult to describe. Oh and the food was served on these kinda funky wooden trays. Next time I'll need to take a picture. If you want to fill your belly and quench your thirst it's a great place to visit, and it's only a stones throw from the Edinburgh Playhouse if you're catching a show....
