We have been regular and loyal customers of on bap for at least 5 years but even though this place does great food, the management is a complete and utter disgrace. We wanted to book a table for 9 people and the management said no because they said it would be too hard for the chef to cope with cooking for 9 orders?, yet this place regularly gets packed out as soon as it opens so what difference does it make? It's not like this place can seat that many people anyway(the max capacity is 15 or so)!.

We even offered to sit separately and this was still not acceptable. It was only until we actually told them that one group of people would order their food first and the other group after 10 mins time that they reluctantly acceptable. What sort of business has this type of ridiculous and idiotic policy?

On a separate note, this place states that no outside food or drinks are to be consumed on the premises which is understandable however, there must be exceptions to this rule for example if a child have multiple severe allergies which my little one has (wheat, milk, eggs and nuts)!. Yet again, this was not taken seriously by management. Perhaps the lack of understanding was due to the language barrier due but i...

AVOID! No customer skills whatsoever !!! Would not allow a 3 year old to eat her own food due to her severe allergies!!!

We have always been regular customers however this time it is very and I mean VERY rude service! They did not allow my 3 year to eat her own food even though I told them she has severe allergies and needs to carry a epi pen. I even took her epi pen out and they still said NO! We spent over £100 on the meal there. When they said no my 3 year old cannot eat here, we decided to walk out as they where not unstandable at all. They told us we cannot walk out as the food we ordered was ready. How can they expect a 3 year old to starve and watch us eat and get punished for all the allergies she has! They rushed us and was so rude I would never go back again. The young waitresses thought it was funny and was laughing behind the counter. The lady boss was not considerate at all for a 3 year old until we threatened to walk out.

Honestly you have zero customer skills, rude and so unfriendly. I would never ever recommend to...

On Bap is a lovely Korean dine place where you can find basic traditional Korean dishes. It's a small place with 6 square tables(for 2 or 3 people max) and window seats for max 3 people. I saw they open this place and I was desperate to visit and try their cooking. Being honest the food was good but I've tasted better in a Korean restaurant in London and Dublin. I guess I need to visit and try again... it could be the case that they still new business and that probably they are still figuring out details for the food and service. We arrived 45 min before closing time and it was the usual 20min waiting for the food to arrive. The presentation was normal for Korean dishes. The tables, the cutlery and cups where clean. They offer water for self-service and they have traditional Korean drinks. I'm surprise they're only open few hours per day and they had a couple of people trying to come in after closing time. In general I had a lovely time and I ate well. Thank you...

Had the beef bibimbap and spicy chicken wings. One of the friendliest Koreans I've been to in the area and the food was definitely worth trying out. The wings were crispy despite being coated in a spicy and sweet korean-esque sauce. They even gave me an extra piece which was very nice of them (5 rather than 4). The bibimbap was good but not amazing. I recommend going with the original chilli sauce for it. The beef was well seasoned and tender. The only gripe I had was that it wasn't too hot. In hindsight I should've gotten the stone pot version which is usually the way to go with bibimbap. It keeps the food piping hot and allows the rice at the bottom to turn crispy and add extra texture to the dish. Overall a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere with good food to back it up. The prices are a tad on the expensive side but I'd definitely come back.

Been coming here since my uni days and haven’t grown bored or got let down by the food once. Their menu has become minimal over the years which is the only shame, but understandable as it’s more like a family/home meal diner. Would particularly recommend the KFC, kimichi pancake, gimbap, bibimbap and stews - my partner also loves their chicken rice. My absolute favourite (has changed over the years as their menu evolves) now is their spicy seafood soup stew. It is SPICY and piping HOT but oh my god so flavourful and good. A very filling meal as it comes with complimentary rice. I would always finish the last drop in the bowl. Service is always good. Think they also do a student/cash discount. Would usually spend £10-20 per person here and hope they keep the prices this way! Overall always one of my favourite Korean restaurants in town.
