Ordered a hearty breakfast for our flat to conquer our ferocious hangovers, but only half of the order arrived. I phoned Snax and they didn't say why it hadn't arrived, and instead of offering to refund me, or sending me the food I had paid for with my hard-earned pounds, they said they'd give me an 'extra roll or something next time' (there will not be a next time). I then asked them to refund me and they told me they couldn't do that and that I had to contact deliveroo. So I did, and they phoned the cafe too, to find out why my bastard rolls had not arrived. The cafe told the lovely deliveroo man 'we're too busy to send them', which is not a very good reason at all. The darlings at Deliveroo are refunding me for this herculean catastrophe, but we are all very hungry and upset.
In addition to this omnishambolic saga, one of the items in the order was chips and gravy. The cafe obviously misinterpreted and decided, instead, to pour the gravy all over the bag and its contents, which made accessing our limited nourishment a slippery task.
If you're considering from Snax, it would be quicker, cheaper, and less stressful to just...

Read moreI have passed this place many times and I have never gone in but I was very impressed.
The food was high quality, but simple, which is what I want from a breakfast spot. The prices were ridiculously reasonable, and there were many options for the size of your breakfast; I came with my boyfriend and got the all day veggie, which was great for brunch for me, and he got the ‘biggest veggie’ at a marginally higher price and was more suitable to his needs. The hash browns were crispy and the eggs were perfectly done. My boyfriend is Scottish and he rated the veggie sausages, the haggis and the tattie scones!
The staff were really nice while still being efficient. We came on a sunday morning and managed to get a lovely spot by the window, which despite being busy, still felt like it was private and we were able to enjoy our food.
The only complaint would perhaps be that I wish there was the option to get filter coffee as only americanos feels slightly fussy and the coffee could be a bit better. Such a minor note...
