I had a disappointing experience at this cafe. I ordered a Greek ciabatta (hummus, falafel, and roasted vegetables), but what I received was far from what was promised. The ciabatta was 90% filled with hummus, with no roasted vegetables and only one falafel, crumbled to the point it looked as though it had been chewed. It felt like a complete rip-off, especially considering the poor quality-to-price ratio.
After this experience, I was reluctant to return but stopped by a couple more times to try their espressos. The first time, I was served a decent espresso, but the subsequent visits were disappointing. On one occasion, the espresso was lukewarm, and I noticed no one had actually prepared it fresh at the coffee machine. On my last visit, I saw the bald waiter heat a jug of coffee—clearly at room temperature—using the steam wand, resulting in a tasteless, lukewarm espresso with no aroma.
To make matters worse, the Caribbean waitress consistently tried to avoid giving me a lid for my takeaway cup, likely in an effort to save the company money. When I specifically asked for one because I was in a hurry, she seemed annoyed.
Overall, I felt treated like an unvalued customer and have no intention of returning to this cafe. PS: Avoid this place if you expect to be treated with respect and served quality...
Read moreI had been looking forward to visiting this cafe when I read many good comments on the Google review. The food was great. But unfortunately, my experience did not live up to my expectations, primarily due to the noticeable difference in how I was treated compared to white customers. Especially, one of the waitresses, she gave good attitude and greetings to the white customers. For example, she only said “Gracias, thank you! Bye!” to the white customers when they walked out. I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with equal respect and courtesy, regardless of their background. Hope they can do...
Read moreStopped into Peppers for a quick bite to-go and could not have been more pleased with my decision to do so. Got the Brie, Sun-dried red pepper, pesto, honey and rocket sandwich and it did not disappoint. It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. I only wished I had not brought my own coffee because theirs smelled amazing. Noticed a man had brought his dog in as well, which always makes a business more of a desirable spot in my book! There’s some seating around the edges if you want to stop in for a quick bite or coffee with a friend, but not an intimate space. Great to grab...
