Lovecrumbs West Port — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

You know the overall atmosphere and aesthetic were great. The lady that took my order was nice and friendly. The lady that kicked us out was rude. My friends and I were there to finish an assignment while we enjoyed some drinks. The waiter lady came up to our table to let us know we had to leave in order to make more room for customers. Keep in mind I still have a drink that I am trying to finish, like what? She then proceeded to give us a little rant about how they've had to turn away customers, which they hadn't considering my friends have had a view of the people coming in, and the fact that they don't seat people. Which was followed by telling us that the place is local and the owner wants them to make money, like what? Every place is trying to make money, which made me think that she was lying , cuz who tells a long story about their boss to customers who are still consuming the products they bought?! I am not one to leave reviews, but this lady just rubbed me the wrong way, considering we were the only ones asked to leave, and we were the only POCs. Won't be back, which is sad because it was a very cute place, but I'd rather not interact with the lady ever again.

I have had the pleasure to visit the store on my last trip in Scotland, and I absolutely love the cakes there!! I still can`t stop thinking about the cakes now, and trying to think of any possible way to get my hands on them. I do not have a particularly sweet tooth, but love to explore awesome desserts. The cakes are moist, and well balanced with the right amount of flavor and icing! I have had the pleasure to try their Violet pink grape cake and the Lavender blue berry cake, these are just some of their amazing flavor that they offer in their shop. They offer different flavors depends on the days! Their store decor is fun and homey, you could find many vintage pieces here, every corner of the store seems to have pieces with stories to tell. The cabinet that is used for displaying their dessert is a great touch!! Coffee and tea are delightful. You could not ask for more when you take in the complete experience that this place has to offer. Go in and savour the moment. The experience would be a beautiful story to remember...
