I've been on a quest over the last years to find the best breakfast in Edinburgh. This is definitely a contender.
I am a fussy eater and didn't want eggs or mushrooms, so you can see my breakfast was fairly simple. But all the ingredients were great. Fresh bread, high quality haggis with the sausages and bacon cooked to perfection.
The big revelation for me here is how fantastically well garlic butter goes with breakfast food. Would never have thought of it myself. Wish more places done that.
Overall the atmosphere was good, service was great, very friendly.
The breakfast is maybe a bit pricey for the amount of food on my plate, but this is Edinburgh, so didn't really cost more than anywhere else locally. Would have been nice to have some potato scone / hash brown, some beans are always a welcome addition.

We went in around 1.15pm today (busy lunch period) and was greeted by a friendly member of staff who asked if we were sitting in to eat. We were told to take a seat at any table. Service is always friendly and they seem to always remember a familiar face. Decor is simple and colourful and has wooden floors that add to the charm. I love that it's spacious and whilst pretty new its generally busy and already has its loyal customers. Although the first I went and ordered a flat white which took 2 attempts for her to get right, it was still a lovely flat white and I didn't mind her re trying to get it right for me on her own accord. Food is lovely and they offer a good breakfast there too. Love this little place and look forward to seeing their progress...
