I am new to tea, having been a Twinings man for forever, but have been delighted to learn that by paying not much more you can enjoy something that resonates in a higher orbital. This is where to buy it. An atmosphere that makes you feel like the person you have always wanted to be, and a knowledgeable owner to explain where you are. He only stocks teas from a harvest that tastes superb - so forget about this year's Keemun, but last year's still thrills. You can be as sensible as me, and get 100 gms of Assam for breakfast for £4.50, or be as absurd as you know you are, and buy a white tea from a plantation on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. I may appear common, so I will drink Earl Grey, but I am actually more awful than you can imagine, so I drink the Earl Grey from here which is the one Dorian Gray would have drank - it has a decadent ribbon of something evil running through it. The dull Basil Hallward would have had Twinings ... And don't forget to bring your own caddy if you want a 50p discount - although you may decide the black pouches provided are worth it. The shop is dog friendly for well behaved dogs on leads which is nice of them. Their prices are very reasonable and they have a wide selection of all kinds of teas and some coffees too.
