We wanted to take up July EH offer of free drink and 20% discount. Went on 31/7. Beautiful day so ordered drinks in garden. No one else there so plenty seating options. It was delightful. Waitresses were pleasant but none were briefed about offer but eventually sorted. We had a couple drinks and then had fish and chips, 2 'free' drinks on offer and desserts which we had inside. Service in general was slow. Food was pleasant and nicely cooked. We had coffee in garden. We were initially charged for 'free' drinks as well as more drinks than we actually had! I spotted this and got revision so all good. Lovely setting but has issues which need attention
