No10 Museum Street — Restaurant in Colchester

Stopped for lunch with my daughter and will definitely re-visit. My daughter is currently on a dairy-free diet so she was pleased to have choice of almond, soya, oat or coconut milk. She had a vegan sausage roll and I had a sausage roll…we had sweet chilli sauce to accompany them and both were delicious. Coffee was really good and followed up with delicious carrot cake…. It was hard to choose as all the cakes looked so tempting. The service was excellent by friendly staff. The cafe has a lovely ambience and decor and in a nice location right by Colchester castle park. There is outside seating which I think will be nice in the summer. Highly...

I'm so disappointed to write this review. We have been going there about once a month for several years but not sure what happened today. The service was slow, the food was luke warm, we had to get our own cutlery and had to chase up our order several times. Our meals didn't arrive together and one of our group asked where their meal was....it arrived about 5-10 minutes later than the others - barely hot. We're sorry this lovely little cafe has deteriorated. What a shame they have...

After our putting game, in Castle Park, we dropped in here for lunch. Spoilt for choice, the children opted for Pasta Carbonara n parmesan, and Sausage sandwich washed down with shakes n cream. I went for the daily special the Seafood Risotto, with Cod, haddock, smoked hake, peas and parmesan. Wow wow, So tasty, obviously a really good chef. The prices were really good too. The staff are all obliging and very friendly. Would definitely come back and highly recommend a visit...
