I am astounded at the appalling customer service I have just received.
As a favour for my daughter who was looking after my one year old granddaughter, I went into the shop to get her ‘Too good to go’ bag of food. My daughter sent me through proof of the order and proof of payment and yet the ‘supervisor’ as she referred to herself, was completely intransigent in providing us with customer service and the food. She said that, unless something was swiped in front of her, she couldn’t let me have the food!!
She said, or rather, gave the impression that she didn’t believe me, and she was more than happy to throw the food away, than fulfil the paid for order! I even offered to pay for the food again, but she refused saying all had to be done through the app!
I finally left the store at 18:10 because I needed to get home as I’m working in the Midlands tomorrow. Had it not been for that I would have been prepared to have argued the matter out until I got the bag of food.
I just cannot believe the fuss she made over a £2.59 bag of food. She had all the proofs, and yet even with the shop being closed she was prepared to throw OUR food away which we had PAID FOR!!!…saying she was ‘following the rules??’
During this whole saga, my daughter is on the phone on loudspeaker and the ‘supervisor’ could hear my granddaughter crying because she needed my daughter. Completely heartless.
Can someone please tell me where common sense comes into doing your job, especially when other Greggs shops have been far more...
Read moreToday I was there one of his employees whose name was Thea and she had blonde hair who was very rude to me just by the order I asked her can you give me a hot coffee she said we can't heat the milk. Several times when I went, they’re gave me hot coffee and she was not nice at first, she turned out to be racist and it was clear from her look that she doesn't like others anyway. I asked her to put it in the bag and she left the bag that I paid for and said you have to do it yourself, this is not a customers job and she will do this to you in anyway if you go to other shop they will do it for u but she’s bad manners and polite .she said I won't do it for you and she gave me a drink. SHe gave me a cold coffee not hot.and I took my sandwiches and drink came out from the shop it was very sad that in the shop staff is more important to be nice with customers I was working in the customer service that’s very bad to do with customer that actions unfortunately Thea hope to see my feedback and be nice with others okay thank you. I hope Greggs management will see my feedback to bring in good staff to treat the customer well and to be nice and kind to the customer first . we paying for the food it’s not free food so always doesn’t matter about money just always try to be nice with people everyone have a good and bad days so make someone is happy okay...
Read moreStaff are polite and efficient, pastries get smaller whilst cost of buying them seems to go up every 6 months, value for money isn't at greggs, fact on more than one occasion I've had overdone goods palmed off on me, also we pay a takeaway tax for Gregg's because the food is apparently is hot then you'd expect hot food right? Wrong, unless you specifically requested hot then your given the oldest stuff first, again bad value for money,
This bakery used to be very good many many years ago, they seem to only want vegetarians, vegans and none British people these days judging by their lack of pasties such as Cornish which was stopped amongst others, seeing halal food in Gregg's soon really wouldn't surprise me at all, also because of the market Gregg's seem to be aiming at choice seems to be getting less,
For half the money and twice the quantity and same if not better quality your best off going to Tesco or M & S and shopping there and heating your pastries yourself at home, that way...
