New Uncle Harry's Cantonese Takeaways — Restaurant in Crawley

The Chinese food here is second to none, but ever since new management has been introduced, service has really gone down hill.

When Uncle Harry was working behind the counter, one of our orders out of 6 years of ordering turned out to be incorrect. While ordering food from Uncle Harry's new management during the last two months, 50% of our orders have been either incorrect or incomplete.

(I did address this problem with the elderly white gentleman working behind the counter there before writing this review.)

Ordered sweet and sour chicken balls. Egg fried rice and chicken fried rice. Omg i have never had such horrible and tasteless food. No seasoning for the chicken balls. They were undercooked. The sweet and sour sauce just tasted of vinegar. The rice was also bland. When i got home i had to add seasoning to everything to give it some flavour. Very disappointing! We ordered prawn toast, kung po chicken and crispy shredded beef. The prawn toast was okay but not amazing. Before ordering the kung po chicken we asked if the chicken was battered and fried. We were told yes, so we ordered. It wasn't battered or fried! The crispy shredded beef was burnt and bitter and the sauce was watery. The portions were small and not worth the £20 paid. We do not recommend this place at all.
