Relish Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Doncaster

We have been to this eatery before and had good experiences. Tonight however was shocking. To start we were not shown to our table, we were pointed to the back of the room and told, “ your down there” we then sat for over 30 minutes before we had to ask if someone would take our order. We didn’t receive all the drinks ordered and some were incorrect. The starters arrived and as expected with no issues at all. Plates cleared and the mains came out. One order was a calzone. This was burnt, not just caught but charcoaled. We asked for this to be returned. The staff member was so rude and rolled her eyes. Amongst the group of us we commented on this. When bringing other items the staff member apologised and said there would be a 5 minute wait for a replacement calzone. The food we eventually all received was beautiful and we couldn’t complain about the food. The service however was unsatisfactory. Nobody did a check mid meal, we had to continuously ask for additional drinks and then after managing to get the attention of a staff member for the bill, had to go to the bar to pay as nobody returned to our table. There appeared to be ample staff, however the priority wasn’t the customer. We witnessed staff taking breaks as should be. However whilst we sat waiting we witnessed staff stood together in conversation and one even on a mobile phone in conversation. All whilst we were left experiencing poor customer service. Because of this we will not recommend to friends and I other family members and will not...

I used to love it here this is the 2nd visit within a few months of each other... there were 7 of us out for my sons birthday ...we had no service what so ever got left over 30 minutes...had to go get a waiter to order drinks then again had to wait another 20 mins to catch some one eye to order our starters not once did any one come ask us if we wanting drinks all nite then starters cam out around 25 minute later I ordered half rack of ribs sone else ordered the sharing plate which had ribs on it too they were freezing when they came so againers had to get a waiter again to let them no and again no one asked us if everything was OK with the meal 2nd ones came out abd were hot .. so were all finished our starters in the end but again had to ask for our table to be cleared..and fresh knives abd forks for our main...again no service what so ever mains took around 30 mins after out plates events got taken away ..and the food was OK this time...all in all I will not be going back in a hurry ..when u go out fir a meal you just except a certain standard abd except food to be hot 🔥 this has failed them twice In a row and especially the service I wouldn't of minded if it was busy but it wasn't at all they were all stood at the front in that little kiosk waiting area chatting ..so all in all I only give it a 1 star you need to improve ure waiting staff or people just won't come had...

Food was still nice, but on a few occasions now, the bill has been in error, with additional items added. This is unacceptable. I am sure many people will just pay and assume that it is accurate, but after the first time we noticed it was wrong, we check. Drinks have been added to the bill that we bought and paid for before we were seated. I think it could be a genuine mistake, and these things happen, but it needs to be addressed.

Quick note, chimichurri steak wrap was pretty chewy, greasy and tasteless. I know chimichurri has oil, but dripping out whilst adding no flavour isn't nice

Cracking Sunday dinner

the staff were better at attending you, the food was ok, nothing overly special, but overcharged on the receipt. corrected immediately but shouldn't have happened. whilst waiting, i was told to always check my bill as they often add drinks that you have not had by another customer. this may be a genuine error in the bar/waiting staff but seems off that i was warned as it happened to me.
