Is the friendliest pub in Doncaster?!?

We quite often change trains at Doncaster on our football travels around the Country and have started to pay a visit here over the last couple of years.

We sat in the pub last night for just under an hour before leaving for the train and my teenage son commented to say every time we go in here everyone always talks to us.

It made me think, he was right it’s such a welcoming pub from the staff to the customers who are a mix of people doing the same as us or just locals enjoying a pint. So many people come over to make conversation, I don’t think I have been a pub quite like it in all my years of going around the Country.

In addition it’s well kept, clean and tidy pub with good decor. The ales are always in good condition too.

Update - visited again Saturday 27th January 2024 and it was as good if not better than our first visit the previous year. The bar staff are great - couldn't do more for you and make you feel welcome. Didn't want to leave and if we're back to Donny in 2025, we'll be sure to come back and spend our Saturday with you again!

What a cracking pub! Visited afternoon of Saturday 28th January 2023 and were made to feel very welcome. Had a nice table and there was a good atmosphere in the pub with great music playing and sport on the TV's. Great range of beers which were reasonably priced. Didn't really want to leave to be honest, but we'll definitely be back on our annual...

Visited here a few times, quite good except from being stared at by the big fat Las behind the bar, however 2 days ago I went in.. And the same guy was very rude and abrupt, me and my friends put about 7 pounds in the jukebox and because the big guy in the hat behind the bar, decided to skip every song, then come over to our table and hurl foul language and abuse for our song selection, we spent a lot of money in that pub as we always do and will be reporting Michael?? The bar man for bad service, for the way we was treated as well as throwing bottle after bottle of beer down his neck while he was supposed...
