Met with some friends for a catch up lunch. Having seen the good reviews we decided to come to Jazz Cafe for Lunch and a couple of drinks.

The two lads on the floor and serving were very friendly and welcoming a credit to your company. Drinks the pint ordered was a little flat - but drinkable. They boys looked busy so decided to just make do. We work in busy venues so understand and thought we wouldn't disturb them over something that's not a major issue.

I got the hunters chicken which was fine.

On ordering the food my friend asked if the sausages were Cumberland- the waiter said they were just normal sausages. My friend has a tolerance to something in them so wouldn't have ordered the breakfast if she knew they were Cumberland - which they were so she couldn't eat them. The mushrooms did look a little reheated and sorry for themselves.

Staff only asked about the food while we were paying on our exit. Not the seven times you have mentioned. We were upstairs on our own for the majority of our visit apart from when a member of staff came up for a bottle of wine out of what I am guessing is the stock/store room.

All in all was an underwhelming visit after reading the fab reviews. Sorry if this is not what you want to hear but that's how we as your customers left your establishment feeling. Insulting customers who don't give you 5 stars isn't very professional. We could always use constructive criticism in this industry. Your in the wrong industry if you can't take it on the chin and use it to keep things growing. This is not a fake review either as you have claimed about my friends review but my honest personal account of my visit to your establishment.

That's all I have to say on the matter. No further...

After visiting the cafe once before we left with a great experience but not so for our second time there. We had a ceremony to attended and thought it would be lovely to have a late breakfast to celebrate and so we went to the jazz cafe to do this. It started with not much of a problem we sat down decided what to eat and waited for the waitress to take our order. The other tables had dirty dishes on and they cleaned them off while spraying the tables the wind was blowing and the spray ended up on us. When we received our drinks the normal tea and decaf tea came out without anyone telling us which one was which. Then the eggs Benedict came out without the eggs!! That went back to be brought out again looking more like it but was a messed up presentation. The other breakfast was brought out with fried eggs instead of poached and the bacon was Barely cooked which was unsuitable to eat. While we wanted to speak to the manager a less impressed waitress said the manager was there and pointed to him. I know that he was an acting manager who informed us the owner only works on Wednesday He was able to not charge for the meal which was a nice Gesture. I would not normally be like this but when you pay for a meal you at least want something you can enjoy without feeling hungry afterwards due to non eating unhealthy uncooked food. I won’t visit...

Very generic afternoon tea, when I paid almost £50 for 3 of us I expected more than some Mr.kiplings cakes and store bought scones, also informed them of my shellfish allergy so our sandwiches consisted of two types of cheese and ham, not any variety at all. Service wasn't great either, asked for another coffee half way through the food and we had finished the food and been chatting for about 20 minutes before we got them. Asked for a box to take some leftovers, they may have been store bought, but I bloody paid for them! Another 20 minute wait, so we had to ask again. I know nothing can really be done about this next bit, but the other customers were so loud and swearing so much we just wanted to leave in the end. So yeah, below average and waiting forever for simple requests. Not even that busy, so that can't be an excuse either. Also the toilets looked like the walls were growing grass in between the tiles. First time we've been. Probably the last too, didn't say anything, however our faces probably said it all. Also, from the other review replies, the owner is clearly a rude ignorant person who can't take...

A nice cafe tucked away in Doncaster. I enjoyed my sausage and onion chutney baguette. The sausage was lovely and spicy, full of flavour. The baguette was a little over done but forgivable. The chutney had plenty of flavour. My partner had lasagna which looked delicious. Very quick service. The only downside is that some tables downstairs were a little cramped and claustrophobic for my liking. We could hardly hear ourselves speak as a couple were on the table next to us (it was that close our tables were almost touching!) It felt quite intimidating eating that close to strangers as I have anxiety. The service could have been a little better as the waitress came and dropped my food all over the table and they had to send for another one. But overall very good! Good selection of food and friendly staff. I'll be going back there!

We organised a bottomless brunch for a hen do. There was 35 of us and from initial queries right up until the day all of the communication and service was fantastic!! We had the whole top room to ourselves and the staff allowed us to set up decorations etc before everyone arrived. The bottomless process was explained clearly to everyone at the start and our drinks were never empty!! The food kept coming and was all so delicious and would also like to give special thanks to Anne-Marie who had kept in contact before the day and was absolutely phenomenal on the day, making sure everyone was happy, fed and topped up with drinks for the afternoon!!! A fantastic time, thank you so much 🥂

I just entered and I'm already greeted with a warm welcome and great prices. £3.95 is a great price for a coffee. The alternative milks were a great start and by the employees's enthusiasm and the atmosphere, I already knew the coffee would be amazing. And I'm right, upon sipping the wonderfully presented coffee with a side of a biscoff, it tasted sweet and bitter in the best of ways. The loyalty card is also the farest I've seen, only requiring 6 coffee orders as opposed to the usual 9 or 10. Therefore, I recommend this place to coffee lovers all over Doncaster if given the chance
