Chaplins — Restaurant in Dover

Dined in chaplins again today ( last time was before the lock down) and food is still amaxing. We are staying at Premier Inn in Dover where the table Table restaurant food is appalling. We walked over to.Chaplins hoping to find them.open ..we had home cooked fresh food. All the staff are so friendly and polite .We had the homemade steak pie and chicken roast dinner .Both our dinners was full.of flavour and plates packed with fresh vegetables. .we then had Apple pie and ice cream and fruit crumble and ice cream .........amazing 😋 The cafe was so clean and tidy .The young lady waitress was so sweet and made us feel very welcome .All the staff are very hard working. We spoke with the young man who cooked all the homemade delicious food he talked so.passionately about his cooking and food in this amazing little cafe ❤ so nice to be able to eat fresh home cooked food .. Chaplins and all.its staff are all.award winners to us ... only thing we wished was Chaplins was open abit later .😁👍 WELL DONE...

Just had a lunch..... Made to feel like we were infected with something as soon as we tried to walk in the door. Foreign waitress did not understand English when we tried to ask for a simple bottle of water. Other waitress has a voice with no volume control trying to make herself look busy when there was only a few customers, then being served what can only be described as a pensioners portion of food. When we told the owner how uncomfortable we were made to feel he starts shouting about being able to smell alcohol on us even though we did not and do not drink, then shouting to get out and not come back. Dont worry mate, we have no intention of it. But if you want to be made to feel like you are the source of the Covid pandemic then this is the place to go!!! I just wish it was possible to give a zero star rating, because that is what...

Food absolutely fantastic it was clean and served as I wanted it I had scrambled eggs and I like my bacon crisp plus toast first class the waitress was so polite and friendly and helpful supportive all the time nothing was to much trouble for her the food was hot .now she was serving 10 people all received the food within 1 minute of each other not one complaint I left a good tip for the young lady well done .thank you you deserve a 5 star plus rating thanks again .if you are in Dover go to ...
