Robby's Indian Dining — Restaurant in Dudley

Thank you for a wonderful evening, where do i begin, lovely warm welcome, immaculate, cleaned after every customer. The menu here is unbelievable a vast choice of dishes. Our food was delicious, cooked perfectly, hot in temperature, each dish was faultless, beautiful, we had a varierty of starters & mains no complaints at all. It was busy, but to us that means good things & we did not have to wait long. We were not rushed at all, i hate this as i eat slow but here the staff were exquisit along with the food. All staff were on top form, Jay was brilliant over saw every aspect of our visit & gave a very swarve personal but professional approach we liked this very much so thank you, samuel was our waiter for the evening, he was exceptional top marks from us, he was attentive, friendly professional really impressed. Every member of staff looked extremely smart & everyone of them were smiling that made us feel great & sets a fabulous atmosphere. I also have to say when i asked for a bottle of rose` wine, instead of someone bringing it to me, here in this restaurant they actually present it to you correctly, ask you if you like the look of it and then pour you some in the glass, i was very happy with this as i review wine as part of my career. I will be recommending highly to my clients and will definitely be returning very soon. Everyone in my party were very happy. Having used Robbie’s since (1989!!), but forced to take a break due to health issues over the last two years or so, we decided it was high time we paid a visit. We were aware that the restaurant had taken on a refurb in recent times, but thankfully the same ownership. Upon arrival we received the same lovely welcome we were used to and , I must say, the ‘new look’ has added to the magic Robbie’s has to offer . Lovely new decor , immaculately clean ( as usual) and was a perfect setting for our return. The meal itself was up to the excellent standard this restaurant always delivers. Warm friendly staff and 5* service means we will definitely be returning in the near future. Everyone has their favourite Indian restaurant but I would urge you to try Robbie’s as you will not be disappointed. My only ( slight) criticism would be that the background music has also been upgraded with the decor. The music is now has a modern feel to it ( though still Asian , it is not the old style traditional Indian music I was so used to and enjoyed whilst dining ) . This is only a minor personal preference and I jokingly shared my thoughts about this to one of the staff . It’s the food that matters and we couldn’t fault that . It's another place that we haven't been to for a very long time, the fact they are still around tells me that they are doing something right. Parking isn't the easiest but allegedly the estate agent's car park opposite is OK to use. The first thing we noticed is that the staff are extremely friendly and helpful which makes such a difference. It's a smallish cosy restaurant, relatively plain decor and clean. The menu is instantly recognisable Bangladeshi, so unlike Indian, you'll have a good idea of what you are going to get when you order. I suggest you have a look at the fridge before you order your drinks as there are a few more options than on the menu. The food was very good from start to finish, this includes all the sides. It was hard to fault but being picky, the poppadoms that were only 'just in' and a hot dip to accompany them would have been nice, that said the onion salad, yoghurt and chutney servings were very generous. The sheekh kebab starter was tasty, but we prefer the meat to be more finely ground. The chicken tikka and chicken in both dishes was excellent and the curries were full of flavour.
