From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the charming atmosphere and the friendly owner, who radiates passion for what he does. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and filled with smiles. We ordered the burrata salad with rocket leaves, drizzled with truffle oil and pesto, topped with a delightful mix of nuts, which was served alongside some beautiful fruit bread. It was fresh, flavourful, and truly a work of art on the plate. Each bite was a magnificent blend of textures and tastes! Another star of the star of the show was the garlic flatbread filled with halloumi and a heavenly combination of Greek yogurt, chili jam, parsley, and pomegranates. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re in for a treat! It was rich, savoury, and just the right amount of spice with a sweet finish from the pomegranates. This independent coffee shop has truly mastered the balance of excellent food and outstanding service. We highly recommend stopping by for lunch!

The owner of the coffee shop is incredibly friendly and polite, always checking to make sure you enjoyed everything. The coffee is excellent – rich and flavorful without being too bitter like in other places, so much so that I didn't even need to add sugar. The pastries and desserts are delicious, particularly the banana bread with chocolate chips, which is perfectly sweet. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, with great music playing in the background. The design of the shop is truly impressive.

BEST BURGER IN EXMOUTH hands down. I got the dirty burger and it was insanely good, super friendly staff and accommodated for my picky daughter perfectly đŸ€Ł Washed down with an ice cold Guinness. Definitely will be going back to try the calamari and chicken burger.

This is the first time I have ever wrote a review but such was our experience I feel I have to. We were dining at Woodland and sea for the steak night, which started with us being told which starter we were having as nothing else was available - a shame but okay, it happens.

After an underwhelming starter our steaks were brought out without us being asked how we would like them cooked. The steak was extremely well done, very tough and without any seasoning and the “Parmesan truffle potatoes” that come with the dish were nothing more than boiled new potatoes without seasoning.

We were then left in shock as the waiter abruptly told us that we were in fact wrong and the steak was cooked perfectly, exactly how it was intended.

After this confrontation we politely asked that instead of them make us another steak, if we could just settle up for the food and drinks we had. At which point we were then charged an extortionate amount of money. When we asked about this, we were then told we had to pay for the overcooked stakes as well.

It is such a shame but the whole experience was awful, and they should be ashamed of how they handled the situation. Until dramatic improvements are made,...

We were incredibly excited to try the Steak Night at Woodland & Sea however it was disappointing from the moment we arrived. No communication or good customer service at all. They had only 1/4 starters available. The steak (the purpose of the menu) was burnt and well done (we weren’t asked how we wanted this cooked) and the rest of the main was not seasoned. It was nothing like the menu had portrayed and we ended up leaving without eating the main after the waiter was rude and defensive about our complaints. We still had to pay at lot of money considering we left hungry. We will not be returning and feel they have a lot to learn before becoming a...
