Churchill's — Restaurant in East Lindsey

In Churchills at the weekend to watch football which has been my local for last 5 years supported owner in every event they have on with other locals one off his friends came in who didn't support either team an altercation started between him and us he then came around to where we were sitting and grabbed my friend I tried to intervene and got punch in the mouth the owner /landlord was 3 feet away I asked him 3 times what he was going to do about the situation he was very intoxicated and his replied was my day off so nothing police were called and took statement as an assault had occurred then the owner ner/landlord told me that I was barred as that is not how thing are done in this pub I feel totally let down by a person I thought was a friend I class this as very unprofessional and disappointing behavior from a owner/landlord who is supposed to have the welfare and safety of his paying customers...

Had a lunch at Churchills recently with collegues. Firstly, really nice place, VERY comfortable and well decorated. Even has beer pumps on the tables! (although we didnt use them!). One of nicest pubs in the area.

Downsides:

They do not accept card payments. I find this really annoying and it will stop be going again for food - accepting cards in this day and age is just not an option, businesses are losing money by not accepting them - its worth the few % transaction fee.

Secondly Food: It wasn't bad, it was just OK. But to be fair it is a pub first and foremost but given how good the place looked I probably expected more than I should. Burgers looked great but were over seasoned with pepper.

So in short, GREAT place, well worth a beer and if you get hungry order the food. For a lunch, then go elsewhere...there are better options available on Roman Bank but still its not bad value...if you have...

Quality pub, bar, drinking hole, comfortable, projectors for key events. The USP believe it or not for this place is the gentleman's facilities which have an in built TV in the mirror and led urinals, clean modern, not sure what mod cons the ladies facilities have but by Far the best gents I've visited, 😂. Only 1 let down hence dropped 🌟 sorry but you can't have the a good business without contactless payment. It's 2019, I don't carry a wallet anymore just a phone. Let me know when you get it and I'll up it 5, 😉👍 the bar maid didn't seem to impressed with my comment on this... Only your cold hard cash is welcome...
