Jesters Bar — Restaurant in East Lindsey

Just returned from spending the weekend in Mablethorpe with my other half and this was definitely our favourite pub which we happened to stumble upon!

Neither of us have been to the town before (I'm told I visited in the mid 90s, but I was in nappies at the time), so we just kind of wandered around exploring, and we probably found out way in to jesters at around 12pm Friday afternoon (after ditching the car at the accommodation, etc) for a quick cheers to starting off hopefully a good weekend.

Walked in and I think we were the first ones in, first impressions were that it was very clean, modern and comfortable, the two guys behind the bar are really nice, and that having just exited the covid 19 lockdown the week previously, the bar is extremely well organised at ensuring all safety precautions possible are taken and they are constantly sanitising every surface in sight. It's also very dog friendly! Impressions after that only kept getting better. Great drink selection, brilliant drink prices (much cheaper than wetherspoons eg) and lots of drink offers. Toilets were kept very clean. Plenty of TVs to keep him happy with football when we went back on Saturday and a nice little outdoor seating area. Just a really nice welcoming, casual atmosphere

We spent a good amount of Friday afternoon there, going to do other things and then returning a few times, and then we went back on Saturday, absolutely loved it in there and it really added to how much we enjoyed we enjoyed our visit to the town! Already planning to come back because we had loads of fun, lots of it spent in here 🤗

..more specifically, a lot of it, on a random side note haha, sat in our nice comfy booth enjoying cheap drinks and howling between ourselves at two of the previous reviews we saw when we googled jesters online, hahah ie

'they only served alcohol in this pub and not cups of tea, so I'm giving it one star cause I should have gone to a cafe (rather than taking up a perfectly good seat in a licensed premises smh), which is obviously the pubs fault.. ' and, 'me and my friends went on £1 a drink night, we were all rough the next day. There must have been something wrong with the alcohol cause it made us drunk! So I'm giving it a one'

Be aware!! Don't go to this place unless you want to be poisoned by the dodgy alcohol they are selling. I don't know what the staff put in the drinks but sure as hell it's something that shouldn't be there. I had only two Redbull and Vodka and one Gin Lemonade. Ended up throwing up with the rest of the group for 1 day and unable to go out for another. Those of us who drank bottled cider on the other hand didn't suffer poisoning. Be vigilant don't go...

First impression I thought I walked into a kindergarten not a pub. They should give you a straw with every pint the amount of sniffing that goes on in the place. Beer/lager kinda funny tasting. The name is quite fitting the place is a joke and the owner is a clown. Safe to say I will not...
