Popin Fish & Chips cafe — Restaurant in East Lindsey

Came in for a battered sausage and chips, this place doesn’t do battered sausage, never in my life have I been to a fish and chips place and they not do battered sausage! Not only this but I asked for cheese on my chips, the lady smiled and agreed however I received my chips cheeseless… any sauce ordered was also served on top of the chips, no warning of it not being tubbed like normal meaning my autistic daughter was unable to eat any of the chips I ordered due to this place being too cheap to afford 2p pots for sauces or atleast least offering them… I am not the only one who had an issue with this I heard many other customers around me muttering the same. If you are wanting a classic British fish and chips avoid this place...

Thought I’d try this chippy for a change, £4.99 for fish n chips didn’t seem too bad. I was with my Dad and he likes cheap places but for me I’d rather pay more and get a better quality chippy. I got them and it looked nice. The fish to me tastes very greasy and wasn’t cod it was more pollock I could taste, the batter was greasy and thickish.
