Costa Coffee — Restaurant in East Staffordshire

This franchise owned Costa is one of my favourites for one simple reason, the staff. They are invariably friendly and helpful, they know how I like my coffee and serve it that way, not the way the manual says. They understand that as I'm paying for the coffee, I should be able to have it how I like it.

Their muffins are tasty and they have some wonderful combinations, white chocolate and raspberry being one of my 'sins'. They also have a gluten free chocolate brownie which is unusual in a national 'chain'. Wifi is available, though not always reliable, well...

Over-priced and mass produced. But we do know that by now.

For what it's meant to be, it does it fine. But I can't really afford it all that often, and there are some lovely local coffee shops a stone's throw away so have to take a star off as they're a different level.

But you know what you're getting here, and it does what it's meant to. Though with so many Costas in the town and another opening soon, do we really need it? That's three in the main town area alone, we certainly wouldn't miss this, the one by Burton (RIP) or the...

This is one of my favourite Costa's because of the staff. they are all friendly, polite and helpful. Since Costa in it's un-wisdom changed the way they prepare an Iced Latte the staff here remember that I don't like it and prefer it the old way, glass, ice-cubes, milk and finally the shot of coffee. This means it starts colder which is good, I don't like hot foam on my cold drinks (or hot for that matter) so the new frothy style is out for me!
