China Star — Restaurant in East Suffolk

Myself and my husband have just moved into the Lowestoft area, and ordered from China Star on a recommendation from a friend. We ordered via JustEat, and we spent around £90 on food for 7 people as a little moving in treat to celebrate our new home. I have to say, I was blown away by how tasty everything was. Awful, had a takeaway from here as our usual place was closed, it was the worst decision I could of made, next time I will check reviews first.

The food was disgusting with a funny taste to everything, there were more bean sprouts than noodles in the chow mein, the prawn toast was chucks or what tasted more like chicken than prawn and the rice tasted just like a microwave pack of rice.

Most probably the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. The food quality was horrendous. The ribs were fatty and looked like they had been through a blender. Everything had a ridiculous amount of onions in and all had the same flavour. The sweet and sour chicken was just slices of roasted chicken with cheap sweet and sour sauce on top, no vegetables, pineapple etc. I wouldn’t reorder, I’m actually really surprised with all the 5* reviews on Just eat.
