KFC Lowestoft — Restaurant in East Suffolk

Alright so, me and my good longtime friend cameron thought it might be a lovely idea to go to the KFC just down the road from our college, not far, roughly a 20min walk. So me and cameron, who have to get the train every morning and evening back to our lovely homes had to hurry the journey there and back to the station quite quickly in order to catch the train home (due to me having a driving lesson and him having other duties).

So me and cameron made it to the KFC here in lowestoft with just enough time to make it back to the station. We ordered our food at the well designed kiosks, my order consisted of two fill up value meals, a side of two hot wings, and a tango. As well as this cameron ordered just one fill up meal. Now, i ordered two fill up meals so that i could give one to my other long time friend, Jordan, who was patiently waiting for me and cameron on the train with our bags.

Once ordered, the food came relatively quickly and was very beneficial for us so that we could make it back to the train in time. I left first as my order came quicker, as well as this i had to get money out at the lovely HSBC cash point for the driving lesson. So, to cut to the story straight, me and cameron got to the train in time and settled down with Jordan present also. I opened the big brown bag and gave Jordan one of the two fill up boxes, believing everything was inside of it. Oh god i was wrong. Oh how i was so wrong. Cameron luckily caught on to the fact that our (me and Jordans food), did not come with a fillet burger, Something we were both very much looking forward to and we were instead left with a small dirty box with fries and tastless paperlike hot wings.

I honestly am soo baffled as to how the clearly clueless staff could muck up putting things in a bag. Save yourself from encountering pure, raw, disappointment and go to Mcdonalds instead. So thanks a bunch KFC. Im proper annoyed and appauled.

Tonight was the final last chance of many for the lowestoft KFC as I can't believe a franchise as big and well respected as KFC can get it so so wrong so many times. The drive through has always been slow but the product at the end always has won me over with their famous flavours that they offer , but my last 3 trips have been nothing but a disaster with me vowing never to return again. but when I get a small of that chicken i foolishly give them one more try thinking to myself they must be doing something to raise the standard because they are a global company. Sadly I get disappointed yet again and again. I won't bore you with all the details of every trip but here's a highlight reel for you 2 make your own mind up. Whilst placing your order at the drive through make sure it's word perfect and you don't make any amendments as you'll be met with a huff of dispointment, by the way the menu is normally restricted as they haven't ordered correctly so when you do order be prepared to hear we havent got that. once your food is ordered be prepared for a wait then once you receive your food I strongly recommend you to Check your items as this will probably be missing something as I found out tonight. Tonight was the final final straw for me so will be taking my business to the gorelston kfc where I have never had an issue. I can't believe a global company like KFC can be so different from shop to shop doesn't make any sence when we live in a world of regulation and standards that these firms work towards. To be honest we have tried over and over again to give this KFC the benefit of the doubt! We have had, cold food, poor quality and greasy! Usually they mess the order up and leave items out!!! The resistant and the toilets are disgusting and filthy, I’m used to loads of other takeaways but this specific KFC is horrific??!!??!! It’s by far the slowest drive thru I’ve ever used! Always an issue with something whether it’s the tills, menu items, order speaker etc etc No one ever about to tell you what’s going on? This time the order speaker and microphone weren’t working! When this happens at Mcds etc they come out and take orders at the vehicles?? No they made everyone wait and even took 15mins to serve the guy at the very front of the queue!! There is a KFC towards Great Yarmouth that is amazing to be honest! Polite staff, helpful and quick at their job! Foods always cooked well and never had any mistakes, yet! We hadn’t looked at the reviews but now realise we should have as their scores are the lowest I’ve seen for a fast food restaurant! We gave up on the drive thru and left after 35mins 🤯🤯 Definitely won’t ever go back and would advise anyone to use anywhere else for food except this KFC!
