I used to love this place when it was Istanbul (same owners) but now they have changed the name and pushed the focus towards a restaurant instead of takeaway kebab things have gone down hill. Kebab meat is now served separately from pitta, sauces and salad. That isn't a takeaway kebab in my eyes. Throw it all in a takeaway container and let me rummage through lol. I sat waiting and must of counted about 7 flies in the takeaway waiting area, landing on the food in the salad bar, and the meat cooking on the grill. Let down! Read moreI was so happy to see that there is a Turkish restaurant in Woodbridge... even more when I saw they are serving iskender and have a real Turkish black tea 😻... Food was great and the people who are working there very pleasant, full of care for the customer. Can I just mention how nice it was from them to extra gift me on the way out box of baklavas (traditional Turkish sweets)?... I only wish they had soups, but I can understand why not, probably the Turkish community is not big there and not many people would order it, while it requires time to prepare. They have a great selection of mezze (you could say, the Turkish equivalent of tapas). Also, they have a variety of meat dishes which are prepared on an authentic Turkish barbecue with charcoal. This gives the meat a great flavour. The salads they serve are fresh and tasty. The flat bread (pide) is very tasty too.
