A Hidden Gem in Eastbourne We had the pleasure of visiting this delightful spot, and it did not disappoint. Rio and his wife craft fresh Pastel de Nata daily, and they’re simply delicious. The pastries, served on beautiful Portuguese tiles, add a thoughtful and authentic touch. On the day we visited, they had made 70, and by closing time, every single one had been sold—a testament to their growing popularity.

The atmosphere was just right, with perfect background music that made the experience even more enjoyable.

The customer service here is exceptional. Rio and his wife are warm, welcoming, and genuinely interested in their customers' experiences. The pastel de natas are amazing, home made and crispy. Rio has a lovely selection of coffee, matchas and tea, and typical portuguese fruit juices compal (orange, mango and carrot is the best). The other pastries are lovely too and the sandwiches are very flavoursome. I would recommend coming here any day of a pick me up of pastel de nata and coffee. Lovely food and service. We had the scrambled eggs and avocado on toast, and the vegan BLT. Both were delicious, but the pastel de nata was out of this world.
