Had a great breakfast here with my girlfriend. Had the ‘Proper’ breakfast with a side of black pudding and had bubble and squeak instead of chips which was very well presented. My girlfriends off the menu request was accommodated being a fried slice, beans and poached eggs. They provided a huge pot of tea which produced 5-6 cups which was great. The black pudding was crumbling when it should be firm. The egg yolks were very pale, I prefer bolder yellow/orange yolks which come from healthier hens. The menus were ripped and the milk jug was dirty inside. The staff were welcoming and attentive. I would recommend The Beach Kitchen.

Myself, my parents and my big brother have just enjoyed an absolutely delicious breakfast courtesy of the very accomplished chef and kitchen staff. Exemplary service from the lovely Debbie- from the moment we entered we were greeted with a big smile and a friendly interaction. You get the feeling nothings too much to ask and although this is a popular spot, the atmosphere is very calm. We are all vegetarians and the options available are very good. Definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future!

Do you like amazingly fresh food cooked to perfection by real chefs and served by the warmest staff possible. Eat here. That’s all you need to know. The staff can take a bit but you will receive the same attention and patience. So be patient! Beautifully cooked brunch on a warm day this last weekend, sustained us for long car travel. Thank you all. We will be back. Highly recommend if you are visiting Eastbourne, or driving through.

Maybe we went on an off day, but I was not overly impressed with the Beach kitchen. When we arrived there were three tables in use, so we sat down and the lady serving gave us 2 menu's which were 2 sheets of A4 paper with stains over it. The menu had some nice options and we ordered a small and large traditional breakfast with poached eggs, tomatoes and bloomer toast, both with black coffee. And then we waited. And waited and waited!!! We tried to talk while we waited, but it was so loud my partner and myself actually had trouble holding any kind of conversation. All the customers were shouting. One in particular. Not sure if they are just loud customers, or they just felt the need to shout over the coffee machine and the general kitchen noise. When our breakfast did arrive 30 mins after we had ordered them they arrived without hash browns. We were told due to them having an issue with "exploding" hash browns they would be arriving soon. Which they did, once we had almost finished. The breakfast was tasty although the sausage was one of the smallest I'd ever seen. And without sounding like I'm being picky the cafe also needed a little more through cleaning. The glass on the pictures had smear marks all over it and I just personally felt it all needed a bit of a going over with a wet cloth and bleach. But I am OCD so I notice the tiniest of details so this is more of a observation rather than a complaint. They did take cards though which was a plus and the staff were friendly. All in all on okay cafe with good and bad points, but not one I will be...

The Beach kitchen Review - Sunday Brunch

the girls working behind the counter took a very long time to give us our menu , I tried to get their attention several times almost intentional ignoring me but looking at me from the counter to our table. The blonde girl then attended to a young man before us, who had come in after us ? who then was served his food first which was very strange and quite rude.

We waited a very long time for our food and whilst waiting we noticed someone else came in she brought a menu to their table straight away.? We were so puzzled. The whole experience was soured by this customer service I was looking forward to having my meal here and was just left completely shunned by the whole experience the food was lovely (thank you chef ) and the lady who served our food was lovely and bubbly but the young brunette and blonde girl need to do better. It felt like mean girl behaviour. I don’t expect to go out spend my hard earned money on a treat brunch to be treated like I have done something wrong like I’m less than...

This is the third time I have visited The Beach Kitchen and I must say it just gets better and better. The food is fabulous and well worth any wait you may have if it is busy . The quality of the ingredients is top notch , perhaps any previous complaints about small sausages were due to the fact these are sourced locally and of far superior quality than your usual run of the mill offerings at a greasy spoon ! I am really impressed that whenever I have been in , and however busy, that everything is so lovely and clean. It is wonderful to see a place so full of life with broad range of customers. I am really looking forward to attending , in future. one of the "Supper Clubs" after reading the menu for the two nights coming up this November . Really does...
