Canela Cafe — Restaurant in Elmbridge

EDIT SO.....accordinging to owner, staff saw our dog being sick, if this was the case (which it wasn't) why did they just keep quiet - you would think as a dog-friendly cafe they would alert us, not just watch but that's hypothetical as it didnt happen !!! Recently discovered this coffee shop, visited this morning for a coffee with our little dog (as place is described as "dog friendly") whilst quietly enjoying our coffee a man came from the back kitchen and asked "is this your dog ?" Which obviously it was as we had hold of her lead, she was just laid down peacefully- he the passively aggressively told us our dog had been sick - I informed him it wasn't our dog but he obviously didn't believe us (if you are a dog owner you cannot miss your dog being sick as they make so much noise retching !!!) MADE US FEEL VERY AWKWARD - We won't be going back again, many more coffee shops to choose from. If our dog was being sick we would of a) taken her outside or b) if too late would offer...

Just round the corner - I visit on my mobie scooter whenever I can and the staff and my fellow customers are always charming and helpful, shifting furniture and tolerating my rubbish driving. A very varied clientele of hospital staff and patients, builders and locals. Fast and furious service and a lovely sandwich bar menu (looks endless on the display board) + essentials like full English, delicious crisp and floury chips… the coffee’s good, too, and there’s a collection of cakes on top of the counter… very reasonable prices, considering the location. Wonderful staff, calming ambiance, and delicious food. After walking around Hampton Court Palace for hours, I was much in need of a sandwich. Located directly across the street from the train station I stepped on in. Immediately I was warmly welcomed, offered a seat and some water. There was some acoustic Christina Aguilera (or so I think) in the background and it really made it that much better. I paid £4 for my bacon, Brie and onion chutney sandwich and caught my train.
