I live near by and l have walked by the cafe many times, but today l was with my mother and my daughter and decided to stop for a drink and a bite, the position and the views are beautiful, when we got in, there were a few dogs with their owners inside the cafe, despite this l thought what the heck l haven't been here before so we sat down, while waiting which took about 20min at least which is fine l have no problem with that, but the dogs kept coming in the cafe and at one point there must have been 15 or more dogs, so you can imagine they were half wet from walking and running in the park, hygiene wise 0 points. I felt like l wanted to say something there but decided not to, "this is for the manager, why can't they leave the dogs outside plenty of space" and then come in the shop? There were babies and kids in the cafe and the dogs kept licking and wiggling their tails in their tables and all that l think that was very disrespectful. Will l stop there again, hmmm l don't think so, perhaps if...

Came here as it's so well rated but sorely disappointed. Ordered a flat white but it was more like a latte. Ordered 2 toasties, 1 was wrong so had to send back. When it came back it was soggy, poorly presented and not nice at all. Other one (sausage and bacon) had 1 rasher of bacon and 1 1/2 sausages in - not what you expect for £8.45!! Staff picking noses/spots then touching food and drinks. Waitress asked if the food was ok, we said not really and showed her why and got a response of "oh. Sorry about that" and she walked off. Didn't bother trying to speak to anyone else as it was just being run by kids. Left the food and the establishment.

  • Edited to add that we received an excellent response from management and are happy to try...

The perfect place for a hot coffee and gorgeously thick bacon sandwich after a snowy dog walk! They allow dogs on leads, and offered a towel for giving my big goldie a rub-down. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, the staff were genuine and warm (I went for some coconut cake - the server made sure I got any crumbs that fell off the thick slice). The tables were nicely spaced out, so it didn't feel cramped despite being so bustling, and service was quick. There was an elevator for disabled access, and I look forward to returning for afternoon tea in the summer, when the outside terrace opens for a view of the river. 5 stars!

Surprised to find this open to the general public and also 🐕 friendly. Had a very nice toasted sandwich and coffee here over looking the Thames. Updated as was in area 7/24 and disappointed with the service received from staff as didn't appear customer focused. Response from staff we came into contact with was very abrupt. Having placed our order and waiting at table a member of staff took our table marker away before we had received our order. If again in area will seek out another place to have food regrettably.
