I phoned to book a table last night, I phoned at 1805 to book in for an hour the lady said it was fine and booked us in. We arrive, nice restaurant, it was completely empty, but nice setting. The waiter was very nice, but we waited 10 minutes for him to take our order. I heard him and two colleagues behind us just sitting there talking for ages while we were waiting, they were talking negatively about other customers as well while we could hear everything. This honestly shocked me so I already wasn't at ease. I decided to get up to let the waiter know we were ready to order, he was lovely got up and came over. As I asked to order the lady who I booked over the phone with rudely told me to wait 1 second. I didn't say anything I turned to my partner and told him we were leaving as I've never experienced such a hostile environment or person, literally couldn't believe it. She then gets up to tell us that they're not open yet, which then made no sense as to why she would book me in the first place. She then made it our fault we weren't getting served because it wasn't open. She booked us in at 1905 and we were waiting till 1920 for me to have to get up and ask if we could order. Plus whatever her point was it still doesn't make sense as online it states they're open at 1900. I was appalled at her attitude and the way she lied to try and make the customer wrong, while they eat their dinner and talk negatively about other customers in front...

We went with my partner for the very first time for dinner last night and we were amazed by the quality of food, service and atmosphere.

We know it was going to be a good restaurant according to the reviews but this place truly exceeded our expectations.

It's extremely rare to find a place that ticks all the boxes but this establishment does, and very comfortably.

Their selection and specials make you want to order the whole thing. They have an amazing selection with various choices that would make everyone happy. For example my partner doesn't like sea food much, but felt like there was still plenty to choose from.

Every single dish was delicious, you can tell it's cooked with passion.

Their wine selection is amazing, we asked for a French wine that wasn't on the drink list and they had it! (Highly recommend the Vouvray!)

The staff made us very welcome, went out their way for us to have a good time and the Chef came to our table twice. I don't remember this ever happening in any other restaurant I've been to before. It's the little details that make this place special.

As a Frenchman I thought I hate better there than any other restaurants I've been to in France. My partner is British and told me it was now one of her favourite restaurants too. She thought it was incredible from start to finish.

This restaurant truly deserves all the stars it can get.

It goes without saying that we will be back as...

Quiet and intimate restaurant - beautiful decor with clusters of lights and flowers and mirrors everywhere.

In the warmer nights you can sit outside on the small veranda and watch the world go by.

The food is simple and fresh I had the moules and the garlic and white wine sauce was amazing - jas had the crayfish cocktail which exceeded expectations for a polite twist on the prawn cocktail.

The local Thames Ditton Gin was flavoured with Thyme an enjoyable and refreshing aperitif.

My main was lobster which was an ample portion with perhaps an over zealous helping of garnishing but overall was delicious and fresh.

Jas had the sea bass- the subtle garlic and herbs was a welcome contrast.

The owner let me taste two wines before i selected (blindly) the one I told him I liked in the first place - which was the Merlot - dont care for red and white for meat and fish etc

The co-owner was knowledgable and helpful without being over bearing and all other staff polite and friendly - finger bowls would not have gone amiss for my moules and lobster - a tiny oversight and by no means a reason to not return again.

All in all a cute little french bistro In the heart of gorgeous East Molesey.

Highly...

What a pleasure it was to dine here. The staff are attentive and friendly, the owner, "JP", makes an excellent dirty Martini and his bar sports a selection of over 200 rums. The menu looked somewhat limited at first but then the waitress reeled off a large selection of special dishes, not listed on the menu; I was spoilt for choice but the description of the roast Turbot on black pasta caused me to salivate so I had that, it was delicious and an excellent choice. Desert was also very special, we couldn't decide what to have so the waitress decided for us; a sampler board of all the deserts. An expresso and a tot of Peruvian rum would normally be the perfect end to a perfect meal but JP went one step further. During our conversation he let slip that he blended his own rum; everyone needed a hobby during COVID lockdown. He gave me a generous snifter and the layered flavour of his blend almost made me weep with joy. That experience was the perfect end to the evening, I'm looking forward to my next visit.
